To apply, start with clean dry nails that have already been trimmed and buffed. Apply two thin coats rather than one thick layer and allow time to dry in between each coat to reduce chipping, peeling, and smudging (we promise it’s worth the wait). Finish with a topcoat to have even longer lasting wear.

Q: Can I use this as a base coat?

A: Hi LS4PAX, Thanks for your question. Typically, a base coat is clear and has some nourishing benefits to the natural nail. This Gel Shine Formula can go under polish if you are doing a DIY polish look with multiple colors. Best practice is to let layers completely dry before applying more colors on top.

Grabbed a clear coat bc they were out if sally hansen quick dry - this is THE WORST top coat I ever experienced. As several others said - it doesn’t dry. Ever. I had three day old polish on (very dried) and applied this over the top for a quick refresh…. I watched an hour of tv…. And my nail polish got all smushy the minute I touched anything. Like it UNDRIED 3 day old polish. I used a paper towel & literally wiped off the polish. It’s shockingly bad.

i want to love this so bad, i gave it forever to completely dry but it just wasn’t happening the color is beautiful but it does smudge no matter how long you wait or what you do, it also has a very strong polish smell, stronger than my others still a beautiful color

If I could give this zero stars I would. I NEVER write reviews but I didn’t want anyone else to waste their money. I consider myself a nail polish master and this is the worst brand I have ever tried. I purchased the Eden color and was very excited for this vibrant pink color. Trash. Absolute trash. First and second coat are transparent and it leaves brush marks. I did a third coat and that made it a little better but like others said it is gooey and mine will not dry! I even tried it over a different brand on my toes (over a white color so it would make the Eden color not transparent) and again, was tacky and rubbed right off. Could roll it off with my fingers. Save your money. I don’t know how this brand is on the shelves competing with OPI, Essie, Sally Hansen Insta-Dri, or Olive & June.

I am surprised by some of the negative reviews and I just wonder if they do not have experience with various formulas of polish. I do think the some of the colors apply more sheer, like a crelly rather than a creme, but that is typical for searing neon colors. I use a quick dry top coat on all of my manicures so I do not experience any issues with drying with this polish in particular. I bought both of the bright pinks and they were perfect for Barbie inspired manicures.

LOCE LOVE LOVE THIS PRODUCT. I personally struggle so much finding good nail polish. There have been brands that claim to dry fast but never do. However, this product dried super fast and is such a pretty color!!! Plus the price is just amazing.

I wanted a Barbie pink nails polish and this was as close as I could find at my local target store but the quality was not good at all. I had to put on several layers in order to attempt a decent manicured look. The polish did not dry well or lay on smoothly.

The fast dry top coat is not the best, but not the worst. A little thick, but makes sense because it’s meant to be glossier than a regular top coat. My only complaint is that it doesn’t help my polish last longer. I usually combine it with Out The Door top coat then add this glossy one on top to help my polish last longer because on its own it’s not enough. It also picks up your polish color on the bristles, more than other top coats, might be because of how thick it is. Overall, not the best, but not the worst, just ok. Will repurchase just because I like to have a variety of top coats to use and it’s not pricey.
