Heard the podcast episode and bought it. I was always going to buy it anyway to support but I’m genuinely enjoying it and happy it’s actually pretty rad. What a great game! My entire family and I have been playing it each night after dinner and it’s a blast. It says it’s for 10 and up but my kids are age 6 and 8 and absolutely love it. About halfway through the first time playing we got the hang of it and it started to become really fun. Now we are enjoying all the names and drawings of the creatures. Materials are high quality, nice box, fun educational game. It definitely has an element of skill and strategy and teaches some esoteric principles…highly recommend! The only thing is we are playing as a group of 4 and are never quite ready to be done when someone wins with 4 points, so we keep playing to 6 or 7 which is about when the cards run out of discard pile. FYI.

My husband and I originally bought this game because we’re fans of Planet Money. It looked like a lot of fun, but we had no idea how big of a hit it would be at our family gathering. Our 10 year old nephew and 14 year old niece loved it as much as the adults. They wanted to play it all weekend. We had planned to take the game home at the end of our trip, but decided to leave it with family and buy another one for our own collection. After we left, our nephew asked his mom, “did they leave the game?” Also, it’s often hard to find a game that can be played with a group or stand alone with just two players, but this one shines. Highly recommend!!!

Best with bigger groups of people
I played this game with my husband; we used the 2 players mode of the instructions. Understanding the instructions at first took a couple of tries before it clicked. The game overall is a good time, I can see the appeal for larger groups, since you have to negotiate and bluff for your deal to be picked. The setup is very quick, since all the cards are in one big deck, however, it is less exciting with just two people. I bet with a larger group the game would be more repayable.
