Some cards simply move you forward a certain number of spaces, while others add twists- like flipping the board or jumping ahead to a specific spot. Since the game involves moving pieces on a pop-up board, drawing cards and occasionally flipping the board, you’ll need a flat surface and a bit of space to play. Because of that, it may be a little tricky to play in a hospital bed but it could work if you have a small table or tray available.

    It’s so fun that I wish it was longer!

    My family and I have been a fan of the exploding kittens card game for years now. We have all of the expansions packs and play regularly. We recently got this as an addition to our collections, however we found that unlike the card game, it can be quite quick with little ways of stoping the other player from winning. We have started playing with a point system, so when you land on the ribbon you get a point instead of winning. However, I think it would really add to the game if there were expansion packs for this in the same way as the card game. Not only for the cards, but discs as well. Maybe some move backwards and other things that could lengthen the game. But overall my family and I love this game and all other exploding kittens!!

    Really fun, and well thought out, game

    Such a fun game! My toddler is playing with us even though its not rated for her age. They of course won. I love the flipping mechanic. The rules are complex enough to make it fun, but simple enough to pick up in one game. The design of the board is so good. Magnetic to keep the flipping section down, the board flips over your pieces so you never have to move and re-set the board, where you put decks is clearly marked along the edges (excep for one deck pile, but its shown in the instructions on where it goes). The rules come in 2 parts: 1. the full rules on how to setup and play 2. a field guide that lets you quickly look up a specific mechanic while playing already Honestly super impressed with the game as a whole and other games from this creator.

    Awesome Adaptation of EK Card Game

    Super fun to play! The action is fast and can change instantly so it keeps everyone on their toes. Could possibly be turned into a drinking/stripping game for adults.

    Loved this version! I was worried it might be MORE complicated , but it was actually hilarious with a good dose of chaos mixed in with the added board flip. I think this is actually more fun, especially with a group. If you enjoy the card you must have this as well!

    Here were the pros:* Game got better over time just like most games where the understanding of the strategy took a couple times to play it. * The flip of the board was a nice touch.* I like the pace of the game.Here were some opportunities:* Need to add some weight to the pages when you flip the board so it doesn't come up off the table.* There were a couple of scenarios where we couldn't find in the rules what to do. Example: When the cards are exposed from the deck and you swap top and bottom, do you put the exposed back on the bottom and/or what happens with the bottom one. Is that exposed?* I think it would be better if the exposed cards go back into the piles as is (not exposed) once the players turn is done* Once everyone is close to the end the exploding kitten issue is losing cards. If you have three or less already then it isn't much of an issue. I wonder if there could be some rule where you go back to earlier in the board or skip your next turn, etc.
