I did check different brand (Lactaid) website and per their own website "All LACTAID® products are kosher certified by the Orthodox Union and can be used year round, except during Passover." Hopefully Target gets their brand OU certified for kashrus soon, too.

A: The package says to take just one with each meal, and to take another one if eating dairy for over 40 minutes.

Q: Are you supposed to chew the caplets or swallow them? It doesn't say chewable on the front of the package but the directions say they are chewable.

Used these forover a decade and they always worked as expected and great at the best price point. The packaging change was more than a packaging change and seems to be a manufacturing change. Now they are nonfunctional. I want to return all the ones they sent me of this new kind, so much wasted money and time. Took reviews for me to figure out what was going on. I can't believe they are even selling whatever this replacement it. The old one in the white box was 5 stars, simple normal, did what it should. Whatever they have now is junk, doesn't work, even more expensive 0 stars. Need to find a replacement- are any other brands using target's old manufacturer?

New manufacturer (notice the inner package now looks like Kirkland which consumer reports tested at the worst generic lactaid), now does not work. The previous manufacturer was fantastic, but now they do not work.

It doesn’t work for me very well. I took two lactase enzyme pills then ate dairy foods and went to rush to the bathroom and never buy Lactaid and any store brand lactase enzyme pills again! I respect the positive reviews who said it worked for them but not for everyone who are lactose intolerants. It worked for some people. I guess I’m going to back on a lactose free diet again!

So, I love cheese and milk. Pizza, ice cream, bean & cheese burrito, pizza, milkshake, pizza. Thing is, milk doesn’t like me. So, I take these pills. And it helps. More often than not, I’m good to go. Every now and then it doesn’t work. Then I’m on the throne in agony. But usually it works. And I love me some pizza. Good stuff!👍
