The fabric is different, but I actually love the neoprene-it’s lightweight, durable, and feels very sturdy. It’s very spacious with plenty of compartments, making it great for travel, everyday use, the gym, or even as a diaper bag. Thus far I’m impressed with the quality and functionality. Love this bag!

Perfect work bag!
This is the best work bag I have ever had. I frequently have to bring my laptop and other work related materials home (I am a director of rehabilitation) and no matter how much I put in this bag, it never feels heavy on my shoulders! I wanted to use this as a “mom bag”—it fits the kids’ iPad, a couple of diapers + wipes, my water bottle (love the inner pocket), makeup bag, and wallet/keys. The padding on the shoulder straps are comfy. It was ALMOST there but the material causes heat to trap between my back and the backpack itself… it made me too hot. Unfortunately will be returning this, the functionality is not enough of a trade off if I get way too hot carrying this backpack around
