Switch melted
Noticed recently the switch was getting harder and harder to push. Decided to take it apart and saw how the switch was burnt and partially melted. Glad we got it before anything bad happened. We will be replacing all switches from this manufacturer.

First impressions are very good
I ordered four switches and they all work and seem to be well constructed. They are slightly wider than normal outlet spacing, so you cannot use more than two adjacent switches on an outlet strip with standard outlet spacing. The surge protection rating is minimal, and probably only good for small equipment like a phone charger, but the switch is the primary purpose of the device, and any surge protection is always nice to have. It would be nice to know if the pilot light is also used to monitor the effectiveness of the surge protector, since surge protectors have a limited ability to supress repeated surges.
