It didn’t need any time at all to flatten out and we chose to not use a rug pad underneath and it’s totally fine without!

Absolutely beautiful - and it matches our house perfectly. My husband and I just moved into our first home, and we had our hearts set on a wool rug. We went with the 10x14 size along with the rug pad (it hadn't been trimmed to fit yet in the second photo). We couldn't be happier. The cats love it too - one of them kept rubbing her back on it in circles and purring! I'm working on diverting them from scratching it; there have been a few attempts, but thankfully, no damage due to the high quality of this rug. It's just so, so gorgeous. It does have a strong natural smell at first, like sheep or hay, but it’s not unpleasant and is already starting to fade. We’d absolutely purchase again!

We have never had problems with any of our other rugs being snagged by our dog. She does not snag things easily either. Very unfortunate because this was a large purchase and we really liked the design.

Now, it ended up looking nice in my space, but I would caution you to think about buying this rug in this color if the square pattern is something you want to be visible. The ivory color is good and the quality is top notch. But because of not being able to see the squares, I deducted a star. Maybe go for taupe if you want more visibility. It is too much of a hassle to return so I kept mine. If I had known this, I would not have purchased.

Unfortunately the bottom of the rug is missing the strip of reinforcement fabric that goes around the outer edge as photos advertised it had. Hopefully, there will not be issues with how it holds up over time.

It looks amazing.. other people‘s reviews about it setting completely disregard their ignorance as it’s well written in the description that this carpet will shed for one to two months after you receive it and it does no big deal at all. The problem with my carpet is, I never considered the fact that if my dog were to pee on it that it would be an easy clean it is not, I have tried everything. I have wool safe, carpet cleaner I’ve done vinegar and water. I have treated the area multiple times and it still leaves a stain. The fact that this carpet is considered in the description kid and pet safe is an utter lie. And I known even after doing research that it would be so difficult to clean I would’ve considered something else.

The purple can pass for beige if the beige is sold out. It’s a very dusty lavender. Rug is soft underfoot and a versatile thickness for living room or bedroom. I would recommend vacuuming quite a bit because there is shedding. All around great price for a large wool area rug that doesn’t look cheap and has some interest/texture to hide dirt but overall reads as white/light. Would recommend!

Dropped one star as we also had an issue mentioned by an earlier review. A small piece of the rug that had some green fibers woven into the design (made it look like a dirt spot). Was able to trim out without damaging the rug and everything looks fine. Seems like the wool used to weave the rugs has a bit of contamination that is not being sorted out. Otherwise the rug is perfect.
