It didn’t need any time at all to flatten out and we chose to not use a rug pad underneath and it’s totally fine without!

Absolutely beautiful - and it matches our house perfectly. My husband and I just moved into our first home, and we had our hearts set on a wool rug. We went with the 10x14 size along with the rug pad (it hadn't been trimmed to fit yet in the second photo). We couldn't be happier. The cats love it too - one of them kept rubbing her back on it in circles and purring! I'm working on diverting them from scratching it; there have been a few attempts, but thankfully, no damage due to the high quality of this rug. It's just so, so gorgeous. It does have a strong natural smell at first, like sheep or hay, but it’s not unpleasant and is already starting to fade. We’d absolutely purchase again!

We have never had problems with any of our other rugs being snagged by our dog. She does not snag things easily either. Very unfortunate because this was a large purchase and we really liked the design.

The feel underfoot is soft and luxe, not as itchy as jute or other wool rugs. The colour is the perfect mix of warm and cool tones, it’s more brown than beige. There was a bit of a mildew smell when we first unwrapped it but I’m sure that has to do with it being real wool. Overall, amazing and I definitely recommend!

Now, it ended up looking nice in my space, but I would caution you to think about buying this rug in this color if the square pattern is something you want to be visible. The ivory color is good and the quality is top notch. But because of not being able to see the squares, I deducted a star. Maybe go for taupe if you want more visibility. It is too much of a hassle to return so I kept mine. If I had known this, I would not have purchased.

I wanted a soft plush rug that could hold up in our high traffic living room. So, after seeing the other reviews I went for it and I couldn’t be happier! It’s comfortable, soft, and looks very high end. It sheds but that’s to be expected with a wool rug, and I don’t think the shedding is a deal breaker. My only “complaint” is that I’m 99% sure they sent me the ivory when I ordered the taupe but I liked it anyway so kept it. Even my boyfriend who is extremely particular loves it.

It is an excellent thickness - I didn't order a rug pad and don't feel I need one, has very minimal shedding (some to be expected with new rugs), and is beautiful. We have a large dog and having a light colored rug made me pretty nervous but honestly the texture in this one seems like it will hide any dirt really well.

Unfortunately the bottom of the rug is missing the strip of reinforcement fabric that goes around the outer edge as photos advertised it had. Hopefully, there will not be issues with how it holds up over time.
