With that said, I like to mix it up with a dash of dark roast, to add another layer of flavor into the mix. The combination of the Organic Peruvian and Organic Dark Roast Mexican, thrilled the senses with a perfect mixture of caffeinated Yin/Yang!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this bold dark roast the best. It is tested for mold and I feel great about that because I drink 1-2 cups a day. I also notice that I get really jittery with light roasts because they are higher in caffeine, but not so with this dark mexican roast. I love it with heavy cream and monk fruit extract. On a side note, I was gifted another coffee and after a few weeks of drinking that I had stomach discomfort. I switched back to this coffee and it went away. I have been drinking this particular mold tested coffee for just over a year. I will continue to purchase it. I think my body has gotten used to no mold and switching to other coffee had reintroduced the mold to my gut and upset it. That is really interesting, isn't it. Drink clean coffee.

The quality of these nice dark and oily beans is right up there with the better known central & South American growing regions. I appreciate the subtleties of the light/medium roast and the dark roast amplifies the flavor and body. Nothing fancy, just delicious traditional coffee the way it's supposed to be. Plus, it's organic & not pricey. I really hope our little tariff/trade war with Mexico doesn't last and FRC is well stocked for now.
