(2) vs. clay clumping litter USAGE DIRECTIONS: Fill your clean litter box with at least 1.5 inches of Fresh Step Crystals litter. For best results, do not add any other litter products or additives to the box. Regularly remove solid waste, and dispose in trash. Do not flush. Once every 20 to 30 days, empty entire litter box. Dispose of used litter in trash. For more than one cat, shorten the usage cycle. Recommended litter replacement for 2 cats every 10 to 15 days, 3 cats every 7 to 10 days. CAUTION STATEMENTS: As a reminder, especially to pregnant women and immunosuppressed persons, cat feces can sometimes transmit a disease called toxoplasmosis. Therefore, always remember to wash hands thoroughly after handling used cat litter. For further information, consult your doctor. Unused cat litter poses no toxoplasmosis threat. Caution: Do not use this product as a traction aid because product becomes slippery and slick when wet.

Q: How long will one 8lb bag last with 1 cat?
A: If you fill the tray to the maximum level, you can get 3+ weeks per bag.
submitted byBassMan - 8 years agoA: One bag lasts me 4 weeks. It might be better to change at 3 weeks but I stretch it to 4 and it is fine. This is the best litter ever!

Q: Scoop free litter box uses disposable trays which had big price increase. There is a reusable tray "Forever Litter Tray Highest Quality ScoopFree Reusable Tray" Will this work as the litter?

Q: I read a review saying there is "less" cat dust. Is there still a significant amount? ( my cat has asthma, so this is important. Thanks! )
A: There is virtually no dust. However, wear shoes around the cat box area just in case crystals get kicked onto the surrounding floor. Stepping on them is painful!

Q: After solid waste is removed, should the crystals be mixed around or should you not mix the urine (discolored crystals) throughout the box?
A: Bella, thanks for your question! We're happy to help and want to confirm that you only need to regularly remove and dispose of solid waste in the trash and rake the crystals. This will maintain the freshness since Crystals Litter doesn't clump upon exposure to urine. Remember to replace the entire box of litter every one or two months. We hope this was helpful!
