Q: How many 12oz cans can the fridge fit

submitted by Holly - 27 days ago

  • A: Based on the interior dimensions and available storage space, it can accommodate approximately 40–50 standard 12 oz cans, depending on how the cans are arranged. Please note that this is an estimate and may vary depending on the placement of shelves and other items inside the refrigerator.

Q: Does the freezer compartment need defrosting? What is the defrosting method?

submitted by rl - 3 months ago

  • A: Yes, it does. Ice builds up at around 4 month of use. I just turned the freezer level to zero and use the tray supplied with freezer to collect water. It took 2 hour.

submitted byLuvmidcenturymodern - 3 months ago

  • A: If there is frost build up greater than 1/4 inch, remove all food from the refrigerator and chiller compartment, prop the door open and allow the frost to melt. You can hasten the process by placing a container of warm water in the refrigerator.

Q: How do you use the adjustable temperature? Since it says 0-5 is 5 the coldest?

submitted by Josie - 3 days ago

  • A: The temperature control dial ranges from 0 to 5. Setting 0 turns off the cooling function, while 1 is the warmest setting and 5 is the coldest. We recommend starting at setting 4 and allowing 24 hours for the temperature to stabilize before making any further adjustments.

Q: can it be used for insulin storage ?

submitted by A - 17 days ago

  • A: The Frigidaire EFR179 is designed for household food and beverage storage, and its manual does not specify that it is suitable for storing insulin. Its temperature range is 32°F to 50°F, which may pose a risk of freezing or temperature fluctuations. We recommend consulting your pharmacist or the insulin manufacturer to ensure proper storage.

Q: Can the legs be completely removed so it sits on top of a smaller table

submitted by K - 25 days ago

3.5 stars, but would buy again

Like many reviews said, the handle was really hard to get on. It’s sadly very cheap plastic, so I was afraid of snapping it, but a tiny bit of hand balm helped (that's all I had at work). Once I got the handle on I realized it definitely is not durable to use as a handle day after day. So I would consider it more decorative than functional. The top of the door has grooves you can use instead. Before you plug it in, the fridge needs to sit level for 24 hours after being moved/tilted. There’s a strong plastic smell inside (not surprising bc it's made of plastic), so I’d recommend letting it air out during the time it needs to sit. The instructions also say to keep it at Level 4 (temp) for the first 24 hours of being turned on, and so far it’s nice and cold. Sitting with it all day yesterday, it does run a lot. The little tray inside is a nice idea but not as helpful as door organizers would have been. The bottom shelf on the door is just over 4" deep (holds a half gallon of milk perfectly), so the gap is too large to store regular sized soda cans or anything similar. I think even a regular water bottle would slip through. I don't know what else to put in there so I'll have to get bins for it.
