Q: There is a white plastic drip tray that came with it. No instructions at all how to install it. I called company she said it slips in on back of refrigerator. I see nowhere at bottom opening where it just slips in! Onto what I.don’t know!

Notice that there is a projecting white piece on the bottom of the tray and a similar projecting black piece on the top of the compressor. They should click into place, as you slide the white tray onto the top of the compressor. If problems, call the Whirlpool number: 1-855-666-4477.
submitted byMary Anne - 4 years agoA: Me too! I just called 1-855-666-4477 and was told that plastic tray slips on top of the compressor and clicks in place. Guess it's to prevent and collect any water drips. Make sure the black foam faces the compressor.

A: In the q/a's of the Whirlpool Black WH31BKE it says shelves are adjustable, but stationary. They do not slide in/out.

Dropped daughter to college and opened up fridge Brand New...and the fridge has dents all over. The local Target at her university does not have any in stock. Already bought groceries to put in and they tell me that before I can receive a replacement, I have to ship it back first. Well what about the groceries I just bought... who is going to pay me back for those that spoil without a fridge? And why can't there be an exchange..I can't receive the new fridge without the exchange. That's fair. I'm leaving my daughter to go home and now she is left with a dented up fridge and they are not even willing to even provide some discount or something for a damaged product! It's so sad that I pay full price and they not helping to provide some customer service to reconcile the issue. So dissatisfied with their attempt to resolve this. Then when I asked to transfer to someone after holding for 30 minutes someone came on the phone and said their name and said they can't hear me. And I have all bars with 5G connection. I was talking to the other person just fine!! Then she hung up on me! TARGET SUCKS!! Poor service

Most college students get a tiny little freezer if that on their dorm fridge, but not mine! My student got a nice size freezer, perfect for some mom cooked meals, and pints of ice cream (possibly refilled in the dining hall for after hours consumption). Fits lots of other items too. No complaints on noise, cleans easily, and not too heavy to move in and out of dorm. Highly recommend!!

Purchases this for my son’s first year at college. He’s now a senior and this little fridge has made 8 moves and still works great. Things placed near the freezer or all the way in the back at the top, do tend to freeze from time to time so he’s learned that if he doesn’t want it frozen, don’t put it directly under the freezer. It doesn’t happen all the time and was trial and error. Tomorrow, we’ll be purchasing the same fridge for our other son. Couldn’t be more pleased that it’s taken all the moving in and out of dorms, to and from home and still works like a charm!

This specific fridge / freezer combo is perfect for my classroom. It would be great for a college dorm. My issue is with curbside pickup. The Dardenne Prairie Missouri store has to get their stuff together. It’s college season, and many people were purchasing similar small fridges. The person gave my “paid for” item to the car next to me. They paid for a low end model while bought the nicer one. Their vehicle was loaded first…with my unit. I was left with their base model micro fridge. I didn’t notice until I got home 15 minutes later. When I did, it was back to Target again. An intense discussion happened at customer service as well with a manager. The only compensation I received was the comment “we’ll investigate the situation”. Target did not make it right in this situation. Otherwise I’m ready for a new school year to start with lots of cold water.
