submitted byMrClarke - 6 years ago

Did not help. Overpriced. Came to $15 per cat once. Went to Chewy and bought Advantage . Six doses for about $50. Since Timmy cat has pass d to Kitty Heaven, the six doses will last for 3 months for the other 2 kitties.

Flea infestations problems are complex. The life cycle of fleas means that new adults can be emerging daily. If there are animals in or around your house that are not on a flea prevention product, then fleas will continue to be a problem. All animals around the house need to be on flea prevention every month. Non-domesticated animals like raccoons and opossums are visiting the places where your cats live can help feed fleas and allow them to lay eggs. All dogs and cats in the household need to be treated with a species appropriate product to fully control existing flea populations. Do not reapply FRONTLINE® Plus for Cats for 30 days. Use once monthly to break the flea life cycle. You are likely seeing NEW fleas on your pet, which are jumping on your pet as it moves through infested areas in and around your home. Depending on the severity of the existing infestation, you may continue to see new fleas jumping on your pet for three months or more. To learn more about fleas and flea infestations, visit the FRONTLINE® website: https://frontline.com/about-fleas

I put this on my cat two days ago and I just found a healthy, happy flea on her, just having the time of its life…until I smashed it. She’s an inside cat, no idea how she got them to begin with. This stuff was expensive so it’s a real bummer it doesn’t work.

this DOES NOT work! fleas still on both cats! If you google it states that there are many complaints that Target rcvd “Fake” collars that contain no actual solution in it to treat them. Tried to request a refund and they stated I needed the original packaging to do so! Why would I keep the packaging if the product is suppose to work!

Maybe it’s me, but I don’t feel the otc works as good as the treatment purchased from the vet. It gets the job done, though.

Applied this treatment to my cat. It was the appropriate choice for my cats age and weight. The morning after application my cat could not walk. She was not able to bear weight on her hind legs, I was terrified. Took her to her vet immediately. First thing he asked was if I used a flea treatment or any kind of insecticide recently. I explained what I used the night before, he pulled up the active ingredients from my purchase history here in the app. She was diagnosed with organophosphate poisoning :( she received fluids and 2 shots one being atropine and I can’t remember the other but both are to heal the neuroreceptors this toxic product literally burnt to a crisp! I had no idea this could happen. I thought frontline was safe :( Do your research and please look into natural flea remedies. My poor baby is better and finally able to eat and drink but is still shaking a bit and not able to walk normally.

jend - 2 years ago, Verified purchaser
My poor cat had scratched all the fur off the side of her belly dealing with fleas. We applied this treatment and she's doing much better now. The reason for 4 stars is that it's difficult to apply as directed and I think it bothers my cat. There's a lot of liquid in the tube and it's difficult to get it onto the cat's skin instead of all over her fur. I usually have to part the fur in a few different places to dispense it all, which really annoys her. It also makes it so she can lick some of it off, which I think is not good for her and probably makes it less effective. And she's pretty high strung, so this process is slightly terrifying for me. I can also tell it irritates her because she winces when I put it on. This stuff works, but I might try a different solution once we've worked our way through the 3 doses.
