Great for Gabby Fans
I purchased this doll as an Easter gift for my 5 year old goddaughter who is a big fan of the character. She absolutely loved it! Her favorite part was the dolls pretty hair and the fact that the doll is also a mermaid. She is also excited to take the doll in the pool/bath. I’m not too sure about the doll being completely submersible (her mom will look into it). It’s a versatile toy and great for imaginative play. The volume was low as other reviews have mentioned. I’m assuming it was still on demo mode and hopefully the volume is fine once she gets to play with the toy. I did not see the doll outside of its packaging however the doll is a good size and seems durable. The packaging seems a little flimsy or maybe I received a somewhat damaged box as it has a lot of small cracks in the plastic and tears on the cardboard.

LOW volume
I passed over this doll for a while because of so many reviews saying the volume is almost non-existent. However, it went on sale for $18 which is a good deal for a doll this size that lights up. My daughter loves Gabby and is obsessed with mermaids so it was worth it regardless. The reviews are absolutely correct though. You have to hold her up to your ear to hear what she's saying! How she's cute, stands up on her own and lights up so I'm happy I purchased this.

Too Quiet. What's the point of making something electronic if its going to be so quiet you have to put your ear right up to it? Yes, I got it out of demo mode and changed the batteries.

Don't get it
The doll itself is so cute but for a gabby cat kid it us disappointing you can barley hear the sound/song. My toddler holds it up to her ear to hear it.

Can't hear!
I never thought I’d say this about a toy but it’s not loud enough. You can barely hear anything. I couldn’t even tell you if it actually makes all of the sounds it supposed to because the volume is literally that low.

Very disappointed in how quiet this toy is, legit have to hold to your ear just to hear anything. This was meant to be a gift from Santa this year and I could tell my kid was super sad.

Great toy, unclear if it's actually waterproof especially when video don't show
Great doll, mixed feeling about being a bath toy. the demonstrations videos only talk about dipping her tail in water and doesn't show her being submerged. when we did submerge her there were a lot of air bubbles suggesting that her head will probably get mold inside so I just stand her on the side of the tub and my 5 year year old dips her tail in. idk. im not sure if I want her to risk it in the tub, it says on the box its waterproof but im really not sure about the longevity of the toy with that????

Hair falls out second day of playing with it the light stayed on and wouldn’t sing so switched batteries and now doesn’t want to play and says one word before turning off tried a lot of batteries to see if that was the issue wouldn’t recommend this doll
