Nice but doesn’t really work properly
We love the toy but I keeps flashing his eyes every 15 seconds while making a disappointed sound. Even when flying or when petting. Also one of the wings is not expanding when flying, not even once. Especially the disappointed sound with the flashing eyes is really noticeable and it disrupts the playing in a negative way. I read here on the site that it can learn to play games but I don’t see it mentioned in the manual and we’re wondering how we should do this.

Our commitment is to provide our customers with a Toothless dragon toy with a 20-inch wingspan, flying sound effects and a plasma blast. We’re sorry to hear it is not functioning as expected. Please note that if Toothless’ eyes are dark green, it means that Toothless is sleepy. If Toothless’ eyes are yellow, it means that the batteries are low and you’ll need to replace them with fresh batteries. If Toothless’ eyes are red, it means Toothless is angry. If Toothless’ eyes are green, it means Toothless is happy and your bond with him is growing. If Toothless’ eyes are orange, it means Toothless is wary. If Toothless’ eyes are blue, Toothless is ready to fly. If Toothless’ eyes are purple, it means Toothless is ready for a plasma blast. Additionally, we recommend trying the following: If the Tame and Train Toothless does not open his wings, try lifting Toothless off of the ground to hear Toothless’ wings flap and activate his wings opening. If this does not work, you can manually open the wings by pulling them open. Press the wings in manually so you can repeat the flying process again! Product is broken out of box twice. First wings didn't open, second one wing didn't open and doesn't work outside of trial mode. Product is trash. DO NOT BUY!!!

Broken wing.
Beyond upset. This was a Christmas gift I was so excited to give my son. He LOVES this movie and all the characters. He opened it, played with it for 4 seconds. The wings opened and now they won’t close again which is one of the coolest parts of this toy. So disappointing.

Mouth not opening?
My son got this for Christmas, and on the 2nd day the mouth stopped opening when Toothless is hungry, is there something wrong with it? We have changed the batteries already and it didn’t fix the issue. Also are the wings supposed to fold in? Ours just stay out.

We recommend trying the following: To reset your Toothless, switch the power switch to the OFF position. Place your finger in Toothless’ mouth in front of the mouth sensor and turn the power switch to the middle Try Me position. Toothless will flash is eyes 6 times. Tap on Toothless’ head sensor 3 times and then there will be a sound that plays. Remove your finger and turn the power switch to the ON position. You’ve successfully reset your Tame and Train Toothless! To close Toothless' wings, place Toothless on a smooth flat surface and manually press the wings in to fold them back into place. If you are still experiencing issues after trying the above steps, we would be grateful for the opportunity to turn this into a positive experience for you. Do not purchase! A high amount of these are shipped with defective wings (known issue). If you bought one, the wings should work. Do not buy.

Is there supposed to be a video showing the different things to do with it? The instructions lead to believe that there's a video by scanning the QR code but all it did was take me to the home page here. My daughter really likes it. Looks like great quality.
