Q: Why are the ones I purchased in Nov now needed to use will not work? I was told by GE repair that they do not have the serial number and are counterfeit even though box and label on filter states GE

    Perfect fit

    Stupid GE website

    I’m annoyed because I used the QR code from the fridge and the GE website recommended the wrong filter. I had to return it and pay for the privilege of following your recommendation. Never again

    Replacement for defective one.

    This new filter was purchased to replace a defective leaking filter. Although new, was not able to get reimbursed because too much time had passed. I'll never buy a 3 pack again for this reason .

    Easy Installation

    ERR code - new GE filter

    I ordered a GE filter to avoid any problems. No problem taking the old one out. New filter was a little snug but it went in with no problem. When I tried to dispense water I got the ERR code. Took it out and compared the two, exact match. I think it’s pretty bad when the GE filter won’t work in a GE refrigerator. When I put the old one back in, I got another error message that looked like it might be a leak. Now - no filtered water, no ice.

    Buyer beware

    Be careful buying these through target pick up. When I got mine out I found the box was already opened and the cellophane already removed from the filter and stuffed at the bottom of the box. When I replaced my old filter with the one I just bought, I get an error message. Upon comparison, they don’t look the same and the one I received doesn’t have a serial number on the side like my old one. At $55 a piece this is infuriating… and the fact that the pick up shoppers are so careless with what they’re selected - when someone is clearly already opened and seems to be a counterfeit item.
