Had to hunt this down all over the city and I had to go to First Colonial store to get this. Live closer to the greenbrier store. Why are they being pushed out the stores? Anyways. Thanks for pulling off the shelf because it was the last one in the area. My fridge has been acting funny and I get a text message to change my water filter. And I did. The water quality is better after the change but the fridge is still acting different. Not the filters fault. But at least my water tastes better

These filters are so expensive and they don’t work. I can’t imagine spending this amount of money on a GE product, it is not even up to one year and I am already so frustrated. This xwfe filter is very expensive and does not even work. Firstly, I realized that the filter head that came with the fridge and the head of the new one are different. Then, there is a series of numbers in the one that came with the fridge which are absent in the new one. So, how can one buy the original one. GE, one can not trust your products again unlike before that I used to hold them in high esteem. I don’t think I will buy your products again considering what I am going through now. This is so frustrating. I have not even used it for one year. I am already thinking of discarding it and buying another mark

Bought a new Xwfe filter and no matter how many times I put it in, the red light comes on and a message shows that no water filter is inserted. That is a lot of money to toss!

Filter is expensive and only good for 6 months. Also, the RFID feature prevents customer from using non GE brand filters. Regarding installation, the filter was difficult to remove and insert into the manifold. A very tight fit!! I will be replacing this with a bypass and connecting a non GE inline filter.

I’ve bought several in the last year & they wouldn’t work in my fridge. I had to call the place I bought my fridge from & he said it was most likely a bad filter. I bought a new one from their store & it works perfectly. Won’t be buying anymore from this site.

What I really like about this filter is the simplicity of install. Someone was thinking about user experience when they created this! Once you’ve got your filter installed, run some water through the fridge. I amazed at how water tastes through this filter and I love that it’s chipped to tell you from the door panel what the life of the filter is. Nothing to reset or worry about. GE knocked this one out of the park.

The XWFE water filter does the job, but honestly, it's overpriced for what you get. Even when the filter is fairly new, I sometimes notice a weird taste in the water, which defeats the purpose a bit. It fits and functions, but I expected better performance given the cost.

The XWFE Water Filter for my 3-month old GE fridge is advertised and labelled as a 6-month product. After 3 months of normal usage I've had to replace 2 due to the water pressure from the fridge being reduced to a trickle. We use less than 1 gallon of water a day, and the fridge's sensor reports the Filter Status as having 77% usage remaining, but the filtered water barely comes out. When I replace the filter with a new one, the water flows out quickly again and acts perfectly fine for the next 5 weeks until it slows again.
