Q: Why are the ones I purchased in Nov now needed to use will not work? I was told by GE repair that they do not have the serial number and are counterfeit even though box and label on filter states GE

    Bad experience!

    They sent me a bad filter twice. it does not work at all. very bad experience! last week i called GE and said they will give me an updates agter 48 hours, but no one called me yet.

    Water filter clogged up

    I purchased the water filter for my GE fridge and it clogged up within 2 months. I don’t know why. Hopefully I can get an explanation or a replacement of my part.

    Bad filters from GE

    This is the second time I have received bad filters directly from GE. The first time the chip did not work and this time, the chip works, but water flow is just a dribble, like there is some blockage. That's 2 bad ones out of 6. (Actually, 6 counts the two replacements I had to buy). The first time I tried using the phone number for a replacement and I ended giving up. Not even bothering this time. Would be nice if you could just email for warranty service!

    Non functional water filter

    The replacement filter I purchased XWFE did not function as water would not flow through it. I went to the store where we purchased our GE refrigerator and they suggested that I purchase another filter from them to try and that one is functioning. Not happy as the filter was very expensive.

    Good GE Refrigerator Water Filter

    We have had this XFWE filter for just a few days, but it was very easy to install, and is working fine. We have used the same model in the past, and it has provided good filtration for the lifetime specified. The flow was always good, and the clarity of the water was good. We have no complaints.

    NO WATER

    After replacing the old filter with a new one there is an ERROR light on. I have a CAFE side by side unit and have changed filters before. Followed the installation correctly, placed the old filter back in and there is water?

    Brand New Filter reads 100 days

    I just changed my filter yesterday and upon pressing the filter status button, it reads 100. This morning I pressed it again and it reads 99. If I’m suppose to change it so it every 6 months as recommended, it’s not going to last. Can the correct information be entered or is this a faulty replacement filter?

    Replacement filters not being recognized

    Bought 3 different filters, installed each filter and each time the fridge gives me a ERR. Place the original filter back in and works fine. Figure something is wrong with the RFID chips in each of the filters but 0 for 3 is bad.

    Works fine but may have longevity issues

    The filter works great but doesn't last as long as I thought it would. My wife says we use more water than most people so I will monitor the longevity more closely for the next filter.

    Filter replacement

    This is the 2nd filter I have purchased for my refrigerator. The GE website is easy to navigate - if I forget where to go there’s a QR code on my fridge that takes me where I need to go on the website. Removal of old filter is easy. Installing new filter is just as easy. Directions for replacing are easy to follow.
