Q: My hair is a natural dark brown, recent my got highlights and didn't like. I got the shade sleek expresso to put on the Highlights and my hair turned a blue green and it won't come out! what do i do?

A: Pretty sure if your hair is virgin, anything will take, but black is the worst choice ever. Hard to remove and come back from.

Turned parts of my brown hair green
Got this because I had a wedding I was in and needed a refresh but didn't have time to get my hair done. The application was easy but that was about the only positive thing. Came out way darker than I expected and after 1 wash, some faded pieces that had old highlights stared turning green. Almost two weeks later, my hair still has a green hue that I can't seem to do much about. Def do not recommend.

I am disappointed in this product what I thought I would receive out of this product was way different from the results. I thought I was getting a dark brown color. I have very blonde hair and wanted to try something different on my first use it turned my hair a dark black color the second time I used this product it turned a dark blue/ green/ black color. Would not recommend this product.

This stuff is amazing. I get balayage and my hair was so grown out and yellow. The honey blonde did EXACTLY what it looks like on the bottle for me. stained my hair blue
i got the sleek espresso color. my hair was a medium brown, like the picture they recommend to start with, and it turned pretty much all blue. the towels i was using stained bright blue and and when i washed it out the water was all purple colored. overall it made my hair kinda a dark grey with teal streaks and was not at all the color it said it would be.

Haven't had problems, but I'm scared to use it again.
I had originally bought this item from Amazon. The sleek espresso made my hair a deeper brown. I was going to buy it again from Amazon, but I saw that they have it in store. After reading the reviews I was hesitant to purchase this again. If you are feeling brave please please please use a test strand before applying it to the rest of your hair. Make sure you use an inconspicuous section of hair. The only thing that got me upset is that it will stain your bathroom and your skin. So lease use gloves and make sure you clean your shower properly after applying.

Don't waste your money
I was recommended by a hairdresser to use a gloss for my grey hair. This product did not cover my greys whatsoever. The product was extremely hard to get out of the bottle. And on top of it all, it stained my sink and tub, and turned my white washcloth blue... as well as my nails. My hair was falling out in chunks when rinsing out the product. Oh and I smell like a wet dog. I'm livid.

My go to!
I really don’t understand why other people don’t like this. I do my normal shower routine and then use this at the end. I lather it in my hair like shampoo and then clean my shower walls real quick with the shower head and they look like they are going to stain but never do. Then I soap up my hands and anyother part of my body that was touched by the dye and it fades pretty quickly with a few rinses. I have light brown hair and this makes my hair dark brown for fall with almost no damage. Love this and happy to see it’s at target now!

Messy Mess-Go for Kristin Ess
This is a terrible hair gloss. The consistency is too thick, and even using a brush and bowl, it’s still difficult to spread and distribute evenly through your hair. It takes so long to rinse the water clear from your hair, and this stains everything in a white shower. I see no additional glossiness or color to my hair, and this rinses purple, so make sure you only use this on dark brown hair, if you dare to buy. I prefer Kristin Ess hair gloss and am disappointed I wasted money and gave this a shot.

I’ve used this product twice with no results. First time I used it on wet hair and waited the 10 minutes like the bottle stated. I noticed no difference. The second time I used the product on dry hair and left it in for 15 minutes. Still no noticeable difference in gloss/ shine or toning my hair.
