if you've read the other reviews, yes. it does get mushy. but it's not like regular pasta doesn't do the same thing! i wouldn't say it was mushy like the other reviews, but it was a lot less firm than you would expect with a name brand like barilla. i would say don't go by the boxe's instructions. boil it for around 6 minutes at max and check the texture!!! it is edible, but the taste doesn't hold a candle to barilla. if you're pairing it with something more hearty, like marinara and beef, this shouldn't be an issue. (there's some red noodles in the picture, that was from an almost empty box of barilla, not the good and gather i am reviewing.)

I follow instructions as directed on the box and the pasta came out mushy. I proceeded to add the sauce and after taking a bite the pasta’s texture changed to some being alenté and other just mush. The overall flavor was not. I wasn’t able to mix it well with the pasta sauce because the pasta was just a big lump. I wouldn’t recommend. It’s 1/2 a pound of pasta.

These are great to use for Spagetti or with a white sauce or a green veggie sauce or grind them to use in cornbread or other breads or casseroles.

This chickpea pasta was plain awful! My wife and I had this pasta with a delicious seafood sauce I whipped up. Boy, I'm sorry I used this pasta! The texture was al dente, but it had a grainy mouthfeel. It fell apart and clumped together. Next time I'll stick to a dicecco or Divella linguini instead.

Wanted to save fifty cents over Banza, never again. This spaghetti absolutely disintegrates and has that awful, grainy *I’m GF* texture. I’ll never cheat on Banza again, the up charge is worth it!!

Honestly, they looked so sad coming out of the pot, falling apart after 8 min cooking per instructions. They were soft but still the texture of wet cardboard and all that reside you see is the noodles just boiling apart. I WILL say I was too lazy to make new noodles and once smothered in sauce they tasted fine. They just looked super unappealing. These are a vehicle for my sauce, and for extra protein, that is all.
