Girlll get it 4b/c straight natural
Pros: This was my first time using a tourmaline flat iron. I was on the hunt for a thinner plate, since I could never seem to get my roots straight using my 1" ceramic plate. I'm far from a professional stylist, and have been doing my own hair for about 9 years. Recently became a straight hair natural about a year ago, doing my own hair at home with occasional visits to the salon for trims. I was pleasantly surprised by the results of my hair using this flat iron. This is literally the best silk press I've gotten at home. (Nothing compares to the salon's results, ofc). I recently learned about tourmaline plates and decided to give it a go, heat setting was on around 380. I used smaller sections than I would with my 1" flat iron. I'm a little impatient, so at first I was using similar sized sections to my 1" but noticed a difference when I cut those sections in half. Take your time, and try this flat iron! No need to go above 400. Cons: I had noticed at one point the flat iron had shut off automatically and the dial was lowered to a different heat setting. That was a little annoying. These are one of those irons that will move whilst styling. So keep an eye on that. My 1" ceramic flat iron has buttons on the side of the device, which I believe is a more efficient design. Also, you can't truly tell which temperature you're set on because there's a dot to indicate the temperature setting. I feel a dash/line (-) would've been more appropriate. Lastly, there's several different heat temperatures listed in between each number. There are a few smaller dots to indicate another temperature, you don't truly know which temperature you're at if selecting the dots inbetween (which I had used one of the dots, below 400 above 382/380). These are minor complaints that wouldn't keep me from using this device. Overall, I'd highly recommend this flat iron!
