Q: Can the mesh be 'squished' into a 2.5-3" drain opening?

A: Hello TextileDesigner, I do not think that the mesh would be that flexible enough, to reduce the overall size drain down to a 2.5"-3" drain. Hope this helps!

packing problems
I really can't say how well this product works because it arrived damaged. It was packed in a simple paper envelope and came smashed flat as a pancake. A replacement was sent, again in an envelope, again smashed flat. At that point, I simply got the refund.
