Q: Can I use an oven degreaser to get grease and oil off the inside of the airfreight near the heating coil. If not, what do you suggest I use? Soap, water and elbow grease is not cutting it so far.

submitted byPaula J - 1 month agoA: You'll never get all the grease off the basket or the grid. Teflon really doesn't repel grease. It gets impissibly baked on. Mine has completely rusted out & basket is unusable after 3 years.

DO NOT BUY THIS
Be very careful with this. I took some food out one night and there was a screw in my food and I almost ate it. Didn’t realize it was from the air fryer and a couple days later the whole thing fell apart as my son was removing his hot food from it. Luckily he didn’t get burned and/or someone didn’t ingest one of the screws that fell out. I do not recommend this brand.

Liked the old model better
I bought this unit because I had one from about two years ago that died and I assumed this would be the same. Which it is, but there are downgraded features. The cord doesn’t wrap in the back so it just is free hanging. The basket doesn’t slide in smoothly you almost have to push it up and in, which seems like it will break sooner because of this feature. And it is much larger and more bulky. Other than the design features it works well.

I don’t get all the negative reviews. I had mine for 4 years and it did what it was suppose to do. It’s all in how you keep up your appliances. Nothing (appliances) lasts forever. I would get another 8qt, but I need a bigger quart.

Never purchasing this item again from this store.
I dislike the fact that when I bought this item I used it once and realized the corner of the screen was broken so the sensor wasn’t sensoring, I returned it through mail since I was working a lot, and they denied the return and kept the item. Never even refunded me. I dislike how if your going to deny a return, why not just send the item back… that’s money I lost that I can’t purchase another.

Bought the unit 7 months ago and it has now stopped working. The nonstick surface is awful was chipping off and rusting. I purchased a warranty from Target and was not able to use it because it’s been less than a year. I contacted Gourmia and they sent out a new one due to it still being under their warranty. There are better quality air fryers out there. Skip this one!
