    This is the dumbest microwave we've ever owned. We have had it for maybe 2 months and the "door lock" feature slowly started to fail us. By fail us, I mean not unlocking the door when we pushed the #0/unlock button or the Stop button. Now the internal gadgets are stuck in the lock position and we have to pry the door open and slam it shut to be able to use it. Safety features are cool & all, until they entirely interfere with the practicality and usability of an appliance. Waste of money, do not buy.

    The microwave has a large fent on the side, the box wasn't damaged but it had been opened and re-taped. We didn't return it because we had to use it that day for a family gathering. I wouldn't feel good about returning something I used. Maybe check items that are returned open or re-taped.

    I iust bought this and plugged it in and started it. I smelled a bad burning smell. The inside of the door started burning!! Almost caught on fire! Now i have to lug it back to my car and into the store and hope they replace it with another one or give me my money back. It was $30 off though plus $5 off and 10% for teachers. So now I've lost my deal and the chance to have purchased the other bransd that was on sale cuz now that sale is over! Im so disappointed as i had a kenmore just like this one before and it worked fine.

    Purchased a Kenmore elite microwave in 2012 and it just quit so wanted to buy another quality Kenmore product. This is not it. First the chintzy-ness of this is unbelievable. The light in the microwave is so dim you can't even tell what is inside. The buttons on the front are so hard to read you need a flashlight. The turntable feels like it doesn't even fit this model. Not what a Kenmore product should be. I am returning this product.

    In my opinion, a total waste of my money

    This entire review is just my angry but honest opinion. I don't know how this thing got four stars. In my opinion, one star is too much but you can't give less. It didn't last five months. It was fine at first and then it started turning itself off. I have used microwaves most of my life, yes, I operated it properly . I would try to cook at a preset time, it would make a noise and then flash the clock ( yes the clock was already set ) and I would have to reset the clock. This happened constantly, it got to the point, I would have to reset the clock several times in a row before it would cook. It was very lightweight, I couldn't push the button to open the door without the entire microwave sliding across the counter until it touched the wall I actually had to hold it steady with my left hand while I opened the door with my right hand. My new GE doesn't do that.I originally wanted a GE but being tight on funds I bought this through target circle thinking I was getting a deal. Well, I think the joke was on me but I am still not laughing. I joined Sam's Club after I bought this and they have the GE, same size but 50 less wattage power for only $99.00 I bought a GE today from Sam's Club and after saving the microwave plate, I enjoyed throwing the Kenmore in the dumpster. I thoroughly enjoyed hearing it crash. I had my old GE for 10 years before it died. Sam's Club gives you a 90 return option for microwaves and I did buy the extended warranty but with GE I don't think I will need it. GE also let's you disable the child lock feature if you don't have any kids in the house. I will not buy any more appliances or big ticket items from Target. To be fair, I bought a Keurig mini and a Whirlpool mini fridge that are both still going strong. I bought this on sale and I feel cheated. Again, this entire review is only my personal opinions and feelings but I am angry. I will buy little things from Target but nothing over $30.00 apiece and let me tell you about when I went to the customer service counter, the woman at the North 98, Lakeland,Fl store was very rude and dismissive. I don't know about other target stores but this location seems to have several employees who feel free to say whatever they want to me. I was wearing a jacket with my work logo on it and the cashier ringing me up felt free to disparage my job. They do have some really nice employees too. I try to remember the rude ones and only go for the ones I know are nice. Don't get me started on self checkout. Target doesn't pay my salary and I will not be free labor.

    The product is great, works fine so far, but of course, I ordered online and got to pickup only to find a dented box. Get home and open it, and the entire side of the microwave is dented to the point the top buckled. I don't want to deal with the return aspect so I'll just use it til it dies. But jeez, Target. If you sell these products, make sure they don't get damaged before you sell them. What kind of customer service is this to the customer AND to Kenmore?
