A: yes you can the door is actually a frosted door like most microwaves, to the others the bulb type you will need to contact kenmore with the part number, and it is 1000 watts.

Q: Does the microwave just have 1 light on the right hand side? I just got this & I thought the light was brighter but now it is not & there are no lights lighting up on the left hand side. Have only had less than 2 weeks.

Microwave worked fine for a while, then one day the “5” and “9” buttons stopped working. Then after a while the display began to say “FAIL”. Now we can’t use it at all. Kenmore used to always be such a good brand, so this is disappointing.

Child-lock sticker on the front left sticky residue behind that doesn't wash/scrub off. I hate when companies do that. Also, the back where the plug comes out juts out so you can't put the microwave flush against the wall. It also slips around easily on the countertop. But, it does what it's supposed to do.

First, the door is so lightweight it slams shut with minimal force. Second, this thing runs extremely loud, I mean loud as in it drowns out normal toned conversations. I kept it a couple weeks thinking I could get used to both issues......I cannot and it's going back.

Buzzing or humming are often from the magnetron (the part that generates microwaves) and the fan noise helps cool the internal components. Clicking or popping can come from the turntable motor or food splattering.

Works well and is the perfect size for reguluar size plates. Due to new federal regulations, the child safety lock feature is installed and you have reset it to cancel, but you only have to do that once (not every time you use it). The power off/cancel button is slow to react. You can nudge the door open button slightly to stop it as well. The minute and add 30 seconds features are convenient too. Looks good and would buy again.

Outstanding longevity! This microwave has gone through 2 people going through college. I still have it and it still works perfectly 11 years later. Over time the buttons you use the most may wear down but other than that, awesome purchase. Definitely worth it.
