The LATCH does not provide any added security to the booster seat. On select models, the LATCH is an added feature but it's sole purpose is to prevent the booster from becoming a projectile in the event of an accident when it is unoccupied. The weight of your little one is meant to hold the booster seat into place. I hope that this helps!

A: For 5yrs +. I suggest looking for a convertible car seat that can rear face & forward face. I really like the Graco 4ever. It is on the pricey side but it will last through all the stages.

A: No. Suggested age for booster is at LEAST 5 years old. Please do not put a 3 year old in a booster. There are a great deal of 5 pt seats for tall/heavy children.

A: I have a Voyager that is souped up and close enough to be the Pacifica according to Chrysler. For what it is worth we use these for our three kids and it works fine. You are probably fine.

A: It is not safe for a child to wear a winter coat with ANY car seat. The reason is that children have been flung out of the safety harness (& coat sometimes) due to the major g forces the body can undergo during a traffic collision. It’s not possible to tighten the harness enough over a bulky coat. I know it sounds crazy but I am a retired police officer and I’ve had coworkers who have had to retrieve children’s bodies from trees or very far from the scene of a traffic collision because of this.
