Cute and makes perfect rice
I bought this on impulse after owning two inexpensive rice cookers. So glad I did! I didn’t think there could be such a difference! the rice cooks evenly, and perfectly every time. It cleans up very nicely. It looks nice on my counter. I’m going to try oatmeal in it next and then quinoa!

My wonderful Bistro lower-carb cooker
I purchased this bistro rice cooker mainly so that I could make low-carb rice. The 1st batch was perfect and it was interesting to see what was collected on the metal insert. Second time I used it was for a party. I made 2 cups of rice (not low carb) and added the water to the appropriate line and it came out rather dry. I will modify it next time I make 2 cups of rice. But all things considered, I'm very satisfied with the cooker and will be using it often.

Leaks Water Out The Steam Release
My rice cooker sprays water out the back, through the steam release. My counter gets all wet each time I use it. I made sure the steam valve was secure and tight but it still bubbles water our the top & back. Is there a fix for this? If not, I'm returning this rice cooker and go back to making it on the stove! Very disappointed with this product.

Rotten rice
This is overflowing onto the counter and making a mess in addition to overcooking the rice, despite exact measuring and rereading instructions carefully. What a mushy mess. If someone doesn’t call or email me with suggestions I will return it!

Bistro 8 cup or 3 cup Carb Reduction Rice Cooker
Cooking times are slightly longer than our older model for same amount of rice, with some extra features. The display is informative for during and after cooking (warm timer). The other feature here that I have not seen elsewhere is for carb-reducing. The quantity of rice cooked will be less under carb-reduction, but it will serve several people with about 3 cups of cooked rice. The unit cleans up well.
