I’ve used this software for tax prep for years. Very disappointed this year as the software didn’t support e-filing for my state return due to a new credit. The software didn’t bother to share this fact until I was trying to e-file on the due date after post offices had already closed.

I have used Tax Cut for many years and it has worked well. This year I had new windows and doors for an energy credit. I only used part of the credit and expected the difference to carry over or I would increase my IRA withdrawal to use it up. I could not get the software to work. I could nolt get a human to talk to.

Good, product. Nice that it can handle my brokerage statement (else I would need a pro). One cavet this year. After itemizing deductions, and stepping to the end, I still had deductions I hadn't entered. I had to select the deductions tab to enter personal property tax (truck tax), and again to enter real estate tax. I don't remember this for previous years. (It's not linear this year.)

Handles common issues well but doesn't handle more difficult issues well like figuring out the foreign tax credit for taxes paid for stock/mutual funds you own.

I actually bought in February and put in storage on my laptop waiting for some investment information to arrive. I have a minimal portfolio and unfortunately I just got lazy. Suddenly it was April 15th and I needed to do my taxes. My Deluxe 2024 software helped me zip right through them.

H&R tax help could be more descriptive in plain language for normal tax payers, more logic and more details. User interfaces or menu can be improved better . Overall it is good.

This was my seventh year using H&R. Makes filling so easy each year. Program brings in all my information from previous year and all I have to do is update the numbers accordingly.

Not much change since 2017. Inaccurate figures brought in from prior year. Seems to get buggier each year. Need to have current and prior year open to double check amounts imported correctly. Previous agi was way off for 1 return ok for another.

I have been using HR BLOCK tax software for years, but this will have to be my last year due to the lack of including FORM 8911 for the credit when installing an at home EV charging station. I don't understand how this much needed form is not included.
