form 8958 issue
the app requires form 8958 when filing married separate but will not let one file electronically even after multiple times completing the form. been that way for the last 4 + years. please fix it.

SUGGESTION FOR IMPROVEMENT
I entered my overseas pension information in the Retirement Income section on form 1099-R, but, of course this overseas payer did not have a TIN so I left that field blank. During the accuracy check this threw up a red flag so as I had a plane to catch I just deleted the form and re-ran the accuracy check - the flag had disappeared so I filed the form and went to the airport. During my trip I realized my mistake so on my return I followed the instructions to file an amended return on form 1099-X with the overseas pension income entered manually under other retirement income and refiled without issue. However your software offers no solutions that I could find for entering and filing an amended State Return (North Carolina), so I had to print the amended return and file by mail. This was very inconvenient and it would help if you could include a process for filing amended State returns electronically.

Switched from TurboTax and used for 3 years.
Okay, but does not seem as good as it used to be. Seems to have more issues to work thru, and seemed like it had more errors like no one was really checking it for errors as well as in the pass.

Expensive, difficult and confusing
Very difficult and confusing. I used to purchase the disk and install it in my computer. Then I would do my taxes and then find a place to borrow wifi to send them in. Last year I bought it from a store but there was no disk only a website and a code. This year I had to find the website and download it. This is very difficult for me since I live in an area with no internet access. Your cost went up too much. There were things in there that were confusing but I blame that on our tax system, although without internet I couldn't get help. I'm looking elsewhere next year

Easy to use and also test scenarios with.
I switched to tax cut about 15 years ago and have been happy ever since. It has been a great help doing my relatively straight forward taxes and I've never had a problem.

Not great, but serviceable
Software does what I need it to do for the most part, but navigation is clunky and confusing. I also don't like that the software is only able to be downloaded for a few months, even though I might have to access the information for a number of years. Save your downloaded install package in case you need to reinstall it; Block won't help with this.

Excellent tax software, easy to use
I have been using H&R Block tax software for a long time - I have tax documents back to the 90's done with their software. I have never had any problems, never been audited, and the software makes it very simple to do my taxes. I won't use anything else.

Great way to stay organized when filing.
Very good way to prepare taxes. HRB handled Schedule D differently than my broker's 1099-B instructions. This caused confusion but net amounts matched. I've used the basic version for years without serious problems.

Failed Me Again
The software automatically entered the wrong AGI for 2023 as I was trying to file. This caused undue delay and rejection of my filing twice.

Hard to use. Won't use next year.
I have used TaxCut Basic for over a dozen years. It is not as easy to use as it should be. Capital gains worksheet uses cost basis terminology that is different from 1099s, such as what box is checked). It doesn't import data well from broker.
