Hair loss
I loved this shampoo at first. It smelled good and it made my hair soft and curly. My head started to get irritated and I had a lot of hair in the drain. I immediately stopped using it and now less hair in my drain. I am sad because I thought I actually found a in store product to use!

Great but not for sensitive skin.
I loved how this shampoo made my curls so beautiful. People were constantly complimenting my curls because of how defined they became when I used this product. The only downside is that I had some type of sensitivity to it and it burned my scalp and would make it raw and triggered my eczema. Idk what caused this but this is the first shampoo to ever do this to me. So just be weary if you have sensitive skin or eczema. I’m sad about having to stop using it and wasting an entire bottle of the product.

Perfect for combo curl types and textures!
My daughter has combination curl types of 2b/c and 3b/c hair. It is coarse and incredibly thick. I have a lot to help keep her curls refined and manageable. High end shampoos and conditioners, creams, serums, I’ve tried drug store products, products and brands designed for natural hair or curly hair and everything in between but this shampoo and conditioner worked amazingly on her hair. I was honestly shocked. Her hair was moisturized, bouncy, shiny and her curl patterns were tighter, controlled and refined. No frizz, no tangles, no knotting in her under layers nothing! This is all without using any sort of finishing product. We run a wide tooth comb through hair (not more than 2 times) and then apply Amika’s Dream Routine cream all while her hair is still wet/heavily damp and air dry. I definitely will be trying the Feeling Groovy curl cream on her hair! I also tried on my hair and it brought my waves and curl back as well. I blow dry my hair every other day and I have color blocking in my hair so a good portion of it is lifted (bleached) and even that hair curled and waved. It also smells DELICIOUS! Only negative is I wish it came in larger sizes. I would definitely buy liters of this. We used the Ride the waves line.

Sent is good but left me with dry scalp
Sadly this shampoo made my scalp extremely tight and flaky. At first I thought it was me but I stopped using it and it’s getting a little better. Plus my ends are so dry too. It’s way too harsh on my hair.

I loved the smell and how it accentuated my natural waves- but I think it was making my hair fall out. Stopped using it and haven’t had near as much hair in the shower. I bought it twice- and didn’t start noticing until about half way through the second bottle.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that this affordable shampoo has been working better for my hair than any other shampoo I’ve ever used. Made scalp so dry
It smells really good and I do think my waves look good but it has made my scalp SO dry. I’ve had to wash every two days because of how flakey my head has been. Sad but looking for something new.

I had high hopes, but it made my scalp super itchy/dry and my hair shed in clumps. Like a lot. I cried. I now believe it was my hair jumping ship to avoid the vasline like conditioner that never seems to rinse out. Thankfully, changing to another product stopped the hair loss. I am still trying to get my scalp back to normal a month later.

Cap is difficult to use, shampoo is just okay.
After using this shampoo for a couple months I decided that it wasn’t really for me. Compared to other brands that also have options depending on your hair type (function of beauty, native) I thought that this shampoo fell on the short-end. The first problem I have is with the packaging. The cap is incredibly hard to open and made it difficult to open without putting intense pressure on my nails. The bottle shape is okay but takes up a lot of space in the shower (short and wide). The next thing I disliked was the smell. It is intensely citrus - almost like an old citrus vs a fresh citrus. I thought I’d like it after reading reviews raving about the scent but it just wasn’t for me. Now for how it actually felt in my hair, I thought it was okay. I have especially fine hair and this didn’t really do anything to help keep it maintained. I felt as though my hair got greasier faster than normal and it was flat. It’s not a bad shampoo by any means, it just didn’t work for me personally. The biggest con for me is honestly the difficulty of the cap, it just made it annoying to use.
