The scent is definitely there

While I did like how the product styled my hair, and worked as I expected, I didn’t think the scent would be as noticeable as it was. The rich woodsy scent was pronounced enough for me to notice it the whole time I had it in. And the second I sat down to breakfast my 7 yo said “What’s that smell?” And not in a good way. And when I read books to her before bedtime, she still complained about the smell. I have to say, I wasn’t keen on the smell either. Not for me. So, the 3 stars is because of the scent…

Great hair putty for men!

My husband absolutely loves this texturizing putty. It has great hold for cowlicks and overall style but it is matte and doesn’t have that “gel-like” look. This can be worn professionally or can be worn on a regular day to help style.

Great for slightly longer hair; and has a unisex smell

This stuff is truly great. I got it for myself (chin length hair) and my husband (his hair is slightly shorter than mine). Just the right consistency and you only need the tiniest bit. Great on wet hair, but add a bit of water east to use on dry hair! My hair can be pretty limp, but adding this and scrunching my hair gives it the perfect texture, especially if I add some salt spray too. I’m also obsessed with the smell, very unisex! Much better than the smell of most drugstore hair products.

What Happened??

I’m so sad. This used to be such a great product a few years ago. I used to work at a warehouse doing a bunch of physical labor and my hair held for those 10 hour shifts. Now, I work at an office, and I doesn’t hold just from me being in the car on my way to work. The hold just isn’t there anymore and I’m so sad.

Replaced Aveda product with this!

My husband loves this. He was previously spending about $30 on an Aveda product that was similar but he has been equally happy with this. He didn’t expect to like this because of how cheap it was but he did. Same quality as the more expensive product. Just wish I could find it in store.

Don't waste your money

By far the worst hair product I’ve used. Its really hard to use and isn’t something that you can do it quickly. Gotta make sure that your hair is wet, but not too wet because the hold is not there at that point, and that your hands are dry because if there’s just a bit of water on your hand it’ll take you forever to melt the product and blend it in your hair.
