Odele Cream Pomade - Matte Finish + Medium Hold - 1.5oz

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you ignore the toxic ingredients in the Odele cream pomade it's not alright. It's has a very strong fragrance which I kinda like but somebody else with a sensitive sense of smell might not enjoy it. Also it's somewhat of a creamer thicker pomade which on textured hair you might end up using quite a bit of product. My hair is straight and thick and even for my hair I needed more product than using other pomade to smooth out my hair near my scalp. Also the phenoxyethanol is troubling to see listed as an ingredient since it's not labeled how much of this ingredient is actually in the pomade. It makes me worried since less than 1% of considered safe to use because of the fact it's a known allergen and more importantly is an endocrine disruptor that can cause damage and toxicity to your blood, liver as well lead to fertility issues. I tend to look for products that are made out of natural and safe ingredients. In conclusion, if I saw this product on the shelf I would not buy it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product gave me a whole new way to style my hair. My natural nhair is straight with a little wave. I used this product when my hair was damp. I warmed it up in the palm of my hand and applied it lightly all throughout my hair. I let my hair dry naturally while I scrunched my hair periodically. The beautiful texture and light curl this created in my hair was so cool! I particularly liked that it did not feel hard in my hair. I could have taken a brush through it at any time. My hair also smelled great!

The pomade is very easy to use, I use it on my pony tails to hold my postpartum baby hairs down! I am also using it to style my baby boys hair and my older son's hair! The versatility of this product is amazing. The style holds for a matte natural finish for sure.

I am very adamant about not making products sound better than they are just because. I didn't realize just how versatile this pomade was! I was able to use it for my wavy/curly hair to define my curls before diffusing. It made the perfect ringlets! When my son's wavy hair was still damp, I used the pomade to control his frizz and create a little hold in his hair. My daughter's hair, I used it when it's up in a ponytail to control her little baby hairs. It definitely helped to keep her style in place, as she is very active! It has a very clean and natural scent, which I love! It is a thicker, creamy consistency. My mom has short hair and I have already recommended it to her for all her little short hairstyles!! Seriously this stuff is awesome.

The pomade is smooth and keeps your hair hydrated and smelling good; however, it is more light to medium hold. The only thing I disliked was that it leaves a white cast. You have to really emulsify into the hair so it doesn't show. Overall great product. Thank you for sending this to try it out!
