my husband used to love this product. they reformulated and the new version is not good. he said it used to be workable once it was in his hair, now once it's in you're pretty much stuck with it as is. more wax vs pomade. super disappointing

Opening it the texture was different than other pomades I have used. Just needed to break the top layer and mix with the underneath and it was more normal. The scent is very pleasant and not overwhelming. Does an excellent job holding my hair. Would recommend for sure.

Wish I could give this zero stars. The closest I can describe the consistency is car wax. Completely impossible to spread between hands let alone in hair—yet I still gave it a try. Left clumps in my hair and looking greasy. Just awful.

This new reformulation is AMAZING !! It used to have a little too much sheen in the past but now, it's a beautiful natural matte finish. It gives a beautiful texture, lift, volume, thickness, and it is very lightweight. The hold is more of a firm hold than medium ( which is awesome ). Smells nice and fresh. Light scent, nothing overpowering. The washout is a breeze. This cocktails super well with the texturizing fiber (which is more of a texture Clay).

Same Label, Lower Pricepoint, Different Lesser Product
My wife and I used to love the Goodfellow Blue Sage and Tonka Finishing Pomade. They stopped making it for some reason. I tried the Moroccan Mint & Cedar a while back and it was functionally the same (amazing), but with a less desirable but fine fragrance. It was hard to find it for a while and I had to get it from 3rd party sellers on amazon. I was so excited to see Target was carrying it again and it seemed like a bonus that it was almost half the price! WOMP WOMP, disappointment...the texture/consistency is terrible now... it's like grainy and clumps in your hands and hair and is not smooth/sleek like it used to be. Side-by-side comparing it to my previous last remaining Moroccan Mint & Cedar it has almost no fragrance now as well. The lack of fragrance would be fine with me, but it futher pointed out to me that they're making this entirely differently now. It seems deceptive that it has the exact same label as before while seeming like an entirely different and lesser product. Will have to find a new hair product now, lame.

Leaves your hair really dry and the hold is not too strong. Not the easiest to wash out. If you use this use some argon oil for the dryness. If your hair is longer than 1 inch do not use
