Not as good as the former Men's Styling Paste
I was hoping this would be the same product as the Suave Mens Styling Paste it replaced (just in new packaging) but I was wrong. This new product's texture is relatively similar between the two (that's good), scent is slightly different yet about the same level of intensity (noticeable but not overpowering, so I'm fine with that), BUT this new product has noticeably less "hold" than the former Men's Styling Paste which was just the right amount. Huge bummer! Not sure why Suave decided to discontinue Mens Styling Paste and recommend this as the replacement, while raising the cost a few dollars for the same quantity of product, but I think that was a bad decision. Suave - please bring back the Men's Styling Paste!

It works!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This pomade works great to get your hairs to stay in place. I use on my youngest as he battle that alfalfa hair in the back and this brings his hairs down and in place for the perfect look. The pomade is white and does tend to have a white residue definitely have to work the product abit to ensure you can see it. Smells nice!

Pills almost immediately… its a pass for me
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In summary: smells good, but pills and has little hold. Its a no me for me. Pros: my only pros would be the scent and texture. Scent is a light fresh slightly “masculine” fragrance. Cons: even after washing my hands, the product still pills upon application. And although its matte, it has little hold. I had to use hair spray to hold the front in place.

Strong hold, smells good, lasts all day
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using Suave Barber Essentials Styling Pomade for a few weeks now, and I’m really impressed! It gives my hair a strong hold without feeling sticky or heavy. My wife loves the smell, and it dries matte. Its not too greasy for the day I use it, but by the next morning, I feel like I HAVE to wash my hair (with my other products, I can usually go 1-2 days between washing my hair). It does wash out easily with shampoo, though.

Solid hold, no crunch
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product from Influenster and exchange for a fair and honest review. I wear a fade on the sides and longer hair on top, so I use product like paste to keep the top strip back or angled over so it’s not flapping in my face. This level of hold was perfect for this, as I found some lower levels of hold that wear off overtime. I like to mix this product with a couple drops of water to make it more spreadable in the hair, but once it’s evenly applied, it sets up well, but it’s not crunchy. We definitely recommend for short and medium length hair.

It was matte as it says so no greasy look and didn’t get any oily feeling even from my hair throughout the day. Smelled awesome. But I like just about anything involving lavender or sandalwood. A new favorite!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm a big fan of pomades and other hair gels. I slick my hair back and it stays out of my face. This pomade has the added benefit of not feeling like I'm wearing a helmet all day! The strength is weak but it's still enough to keep everything in place. The scent is nice and there is no shine which is fine by me! Will be getting more!
