Hatch Babies and Kids' Rest Go Portable Sound Machine

Let me save you 50 bucks. I’m sitting here at 3 AM feeding my baby in silence because his sound machine battery is dead. As a long time Hatch lover, I absolutely HATE this thing. Idk if I got a defective one or not but the battery doesn’t last all night, so it shuts off randomly before sleep time is over for my baby. It lasts maybe 8 hours max. But even worse than that, it doesn’t connect to the app! If I would have known that I wouldn’t have bought it. I assumed I could turn it off and on from the app which is crucial for when baby is doing nap time in another room. I have two other large Hatches we love but this was a big waste of money. The sound quality isn’t even good! It basically has zero functionality, you’re paying for the aesthetic only, because you can find something that does the same thing (plays a handful of garbled noises) at a dollar store for a couple bucks. Hatch should be embarrassed they even made these. I also had bought two at the same time - one for my newborn and one for my newborn niece and I’m disappointed I gave this to someone as a gift!

Great alternative for on the go but my only dislike is that the handle to attach it to the car seat doesn’t hold well. The device itself comes off the handle easily and you can loose the device. I wish they would make a better handle. Otherwise works well for on the go and love the rechargeable battery!

It worked great for 1.5 years but then all of a sudden wouldn’t turn on. Over time the battery does degrade. Good variety of songs and ability to control sounds - my toddler can use it without a problem. It’s the second travel sound machine to die on me though, so maybe you just can’t expect durability

I would give this item 0 stars if I could. This is now my second time purchasing this item. The first item quit working after 2.5months of owning it. I loved it while it worked so I chalked it up to a faulty part and bought another one. Machine number two worked for 3 nights before it quit turning on, wouldn't hold a charge and shut off while plugged in. If you are a mama like me, our baby woke up immediately when the machine quit working all 3 times. Very disappointed in an expensive item.

This is so convenient to bring traveling! I keep it with our diaper bag so it’s with us everywhere we go! Everyone sleeps so much better! Thank you!

We had 1 and it stopped working after one use. They sent me a replacement and that one doesn’t work either. Do not recommend. Do not buy.

I really loved it in the beginning. I use it every nap, at night and even to travel. The charge held so well until this month. My baby is now 8 months and the battery will only cover her naps (30 minutes/nap) and 5-6hrs at night. When it stops it wakes her up! Ugh disappointing :(

Although I like the sound machine it needs to get changed constantly like every other night which I think is insane should have a longer battery life

I was a little worried at first because other reviews said the battery didn’t work great. I charged this thing a month ago, used it here and there. Last night needed to use it overnight, and it worked for 10 hours nonstop. And it hasn’t been charged in a month!! Battery works great, sounds are great, volume is perfect!!

I previously had the Rohm travel machine from yogasleep which I loved. However, it was a little big to store for my two babies. I purchased the hatch as it had great reviews, but it does not hold a charge. On their website it says it can hold up to 15 hours which is not true. I’m disappointed because the most I get is 5/6 hours. I thought maybe it was defective, but i purchased two different ones in different colors and I’m experiencing the same issues as well. Would not recommend.

This one is perfect for my family. We don’t need WiFi one cause I heard stories that some people hacked into baby monitors and talked to babies. For this one I don’t have to worry about that.

Worked great until it just stopped. I used it everyday about twice a day for nap time. But then one day it just stopped turning on.

Amazing! Helps our baby fall and stay asleep. It’s nice to have all of the different sound options. Two minor things I wish it had - a ring that was easier to attach to things, and an automatic shutoff.

The Hatch Rest used to be my favorite product and I recommended it to everyone. Not anymore. There is no middle ground option between the small travel size Hatch or the WiFi equipped version. The WiFi equipped version is awful. It doesn’t stay reliably connected and doesn’t have reasonable functionality if it isn’t connected to the internet and being managed (poorly) through an app that’s buggy. I’m returning my Hatch Rest + and, I guess, using my travel Hatch until I can find a different sound machine for my baby.

The Rest Go has been really nice to have while traveling. I just wish there was a small screen so that I knew what number the sounds we like are. I catch myself trying to count but not really being sure. Otherwise this was a great purchase and I would recommend to anyone who uses any version of a Hatch product at home.

Battery life is impressive, we can go about 3 full nights without charging it, maybe more. Plenty of sound options that we like as well.

We’ve been using this sound machine every night for 8 weeks now. I took it to the hospital and used it there to help down out the sounds of doors closing in other rooms. It charges very quickly and lasts all night. I’ve never had it lose power.

For our baby, this device is a staple for the wind down and sleep.
