Q: When the power goes off and comes back on does it turn on at the same setting or not at all?

A: I think Beth was asking if the setting remains the same after the power goes off. For example, if the blanket was set to a power level of 3, will it still be programmed to 3 when it turns back on.

A: Hi Mm, Simply the controller cords need to be disconnected at the point at which the connect with the blanket. Squeeze the two sides and the connector will un attach. The remaining plastic receptacle will still be part of the blanket. Hope this helps!

Only 1/4 of one side of the blanket works. The non-working sides remote, only heats up the opposite side of the blanket. The only part of the entire blanket that actually works is the top of one side. I had a Brookstone heated blanket prior to this one. It worked perfectly for 6 years. I was expecting the same quality in this blanket. Absolute junk. Returning it.

I loved this blanket until I didn’t. I got it for Christmas and it’s already stopped working. The timer doesn’t work and only about 1/4 of the blanket heats up. I’ve done all the resetting as possible and still no changes. The only reason for two starts is, it is very soft and comfortable.

Bought twin size. Horrible engineering - no heat on over 50% -- 12" sides, top & bottom have no wires so no heat. Klutzy controls - "timer" never advances past "2." Must "click & guess" if you want more. Definitely NOT Target quality! Polyester fabric, so outer blankets slide off. Welcome to "Arctic Nights!"

Definitely save your money. It warms your and can get very hot to where I need to turn it down, but it only seems to heat towards the top and the rest is unheated. Very disappointing. The buttons on the control remote are also wonky and never seem to work.

Got his because my house gets a bit chilly from time to time in the winter, these settings and timer on these blankets are PERFECT for me, because I can turn it on hours before bed. Then when I'm ready to go to sleep, I can simply turn it off, or leave it going until I fall asleep, and don't have to remember to turn it off by morning! Definitely worth the $$, I even got it on sale, and it's actually nice to lay on top and read a book, or watch some TV before be, SUPER soft material too!!!

This would be a five star review except the timer function does not work. I love everything else about the blanket. It’s super soft and comfortable. I just wish the timer would work so I can just have it run for an hour or so and don’t wake up sweating

We recently bought this blanket and loved it at first, but we realized the timer function does not work, and it does not auto-shut off after 10 hours. Even if we set to 1 hour, it will just stay on all day/night until we manually press the off button on the control unit. This is incredibly dangerous, and we threw away the box. Do not buy.

I bought two twins in two different styles and was very excited to find them on sale before Christmas. Used them Christmas night and I couldn't feel any heat coming from my son's I thought maybe it needed time to heat up so i checked back in 30 mins and turned it to 8 heat and i felt one spot near the foot of the bed warm. I felt my daughter's and her's felt warmer but also isolated to one spot. After a few nights using them both kids reported only half if that heats up. I think these heating elements are defective as now I see other people in the last week have similar complaints. I plan to return and find an alternative. Such a bummer. The plus side they are very soft and the controller is easy to use. It would be great if they worked throughout the heating element.

Just doesn’t work. Barely gets warm, even on the highest setting. Worked well the first day it was opened and that’s it. Too bad because it’s really soft and I loved the color but refunding because it’s a blanket with cords essentially.

I've had this blanket for less than a year, within the first month only half of the blanket would warm up, let alone give off any heat. Now, that side that did work has burned me and left a scar on my leg, just before entirely giving out. This is the 3rd blanket from this brand that has died before 12 months, and while soft, you might as well just buy a regular blanket.

I also love how you can control one side of the blanket without changing the other sides temp. It has a time to have it shut off safety. I am so glad I got to try this. It's amazing. A must-have!
