Mostly Good!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These compostable sandwich bags are truly not much different from a regular plastic sandwich bag. I love that they are eco friendly, store the same amount as a standard sandwich bag, and come with 50 bags in the box. I knocked off two stars because they are harder to open than a standard bag and the plastic around the top can pull very thin in the process.

Good hefty bags

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The packaging was nice & the box was heavy which let me know they were going to be sturdy. the only issues I had was I wish the bag was a little clear so you could see what you put inside of it & it is a little hard to open the bag. I think ripped the last 2 I tried to open.

BPA free but unsure on how to compost these since

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Honestly, not sure about this product. While it’s great it’s 25% plant based materials and it’s BPA free, the HOW on composting these little bags is the biggest question. The box and research I’ve done shows that these HAVE to be composted in an industrial composting facility… you can’t put it in your home compost bins because they don’t generate enough heat. SO… in order to compost these I guess you’ll have to collect them and once you reach a sizable amount then you can bring them in and pay to get them commercially composted. Or maybe a company like Ridwell takes them? Since you pay a subscription fee for them to take your recyclables etc.

It’s very sturdy and doesn’t break easily. It’s great that you can seal it to keep food fresh or keep items secured.

Great storage bag

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These bags aren't for hot or liquids. Not for use in microwave, freezer or liquid. To extend the useful life of the bags, store on original package in a cool , dry place. Best if use within 6 months of opening the package. More for storing cut up food, more like veggies or fruit. They are great for storing snacks as well. Hefty storage bags are good, and the quality is also good.
