Since the software usually doesn't allow a 0/Mute setting, here are the three most effective ways to quiet it down:
1. The "Parental Hack" (Tape)
The most successful way to "mute" these cameras without opening them is to use the Tape & Foam method.
Locate the Speaker: Look for small pinholes or a plastic grill (usually on the back near the screen or on the bottom).
Apply Tape: Cover the holes with a piece of heavy-duty tape (like electrical tape or duct tape).
The "Muffle" Pro Tip: For even better results, put a tiny piece of a cotton ball or a scrap of foam over the holes first, then tape over that. This absorbs the sound waves before they hit the tape, making it significantly quieter than just tape alone.
2. Check the "System" vs. "Game" Settings

we were really excited about this because we previously bought a camera for our 3 year old and it had the same software. the buttons on this are horrible and we have had it for about a month and it's already broken.

Battery life is not good
Battry life is horrible. We returned a dinosaur camera because the battery lasted 30 minutes. We thought it was a fluke. My child decided on this one instead of another dinosaur one. They are from the same maker. This one has just as bad of a battery life.

The screen has disconnected from view
bought this for my kid for Christmas. and it didn't fall on the floor. but it fell while charging it. so it kind of rebounced in the air. and with that the whole alignment went off causing the screen to be disconnected from view on the camera. quite a cheap product I do not recommend. for a child or an adult?
