I wish I could give 0 stars. I absolutely loathe these knives! They began to rust shortly after purchase around a year and a half ago, and recently the color coating on the handles has started peeling. I regret this purchase so much!

Box is badly ripped

The knives cut fine but they safe dishwasher safe. Running them through the dishwasher just once and they came out with little rust spots on them. Some of the spots came off when we used steel wool scrubber but some didn’t and we can see them weeks later. Honestly if we would have kept the box we would have returned them.

Knives work great but the color of the block is not as pictured at all. The wood block does not look like light wood as pictured it’s just a true gray color. It’s just a gray block, does not look like wood

The finish on the handles came off after the first trip through the dishwasher; that doesn’t really seem as though the product is dishwasher safe. Luckily I am well within my return window and will not be keeping this set, the quality is well below the price point.

These are absolutely NOT dishwasher safe. Started to rust after second time in the dishwasher. We specifically bought them due to the fact that they were advertised as dishwasher safe. Waste of money.

I've owned this set for two years now. These knives look nice, and the variety of blade types and sizes is nice, but all quality is absymal. Whether hand-washed or machine washed, all knives started showing rusty spotting on the blades and the coating on the handles began to peel within the first few months. Do not recommend.

Very nice comfortable handles, heavy weight, super sharp knives. Display well in the wood block, doesn't take up too much room.

Had these for 6 months. I only hand wash my kitchen knives. Handles started cracking and peeling. Contacted "Zwilling J.A. Henckels" and they said it was normal wear and tear. I will never buy Henckels again

Replaced a set I purchased ten years prior thinking I would find better quality. Sadly they did rust in the dishwasher but once washed by hand, that did not happen. The set of smaller knives leaves a lot to be desired. The largest knife was excellent. Do not have much to say about how long they last but definitely have had better for less.

Ordered this set two years ago, different configuration and much more costly. Horrible. Year one. The handles started “peeling”, so they looked worn. I’ve never put them in the dishwasher, always hand washed and hand dried. Year two, the blades are starting to show “rust” spots. These are used every day, washed and dried every day BY HAND. Henckels USED to be a dependable, quality brand. Avoid this-they’re shiny and pretty when it’s brand new but you’d be better off with a cheaper set and replacing them. Oh and the “self sharpening”? Lol-not that great at all. Their “guarantee” is non existent. It’s “normal wear and tear” okay, I’ve had knives from 50 years ago and they still hold up today so this is what outsourcing does with what used to be a reputable company. Never again. Unless you use these knives about once a week, then maybe they’d last a few extra years.

I would give 0 stars if I could. Beautiful set, very sharp but rusted within 2 months. Not worth it!

I'm just questioning these reviews since the ones that were NOT submitted with a promotion are very bad. I have yet to find an exception. Did they receive the same item?

They rust ! Even with first time in dishwasher . Otherwise they are decent not worth the price .

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Steel feels a little lite but well fitting. Edge had to be spruced up but that's normal. Handles not as solid as expected. This is really being critical, it is a very good set for the price point.
