These are very strong. The no hammer approach was interesting. At first it was very difficult to break through the dry wall on one side. Don't make the mistake I did and use a nail to make a hole - the hole it made was too big. The gorilla hook was too loose in it, but the problem solved was to use two hooks in the hole left from the nail, so at least I didn't have an extra hole in the wall. Problem solved. This held a very large art piece in place, and it hangs flush to the wall with this product.
