Hunter Gallegos 52" Ceiling Fan Matte Silver with Integrated LED Light, 3 Blades, WhisperWind Motor, Wet Rated

This ceiling fan is made for a straight forward, simple application with one switch as the fan must be run through a remote control. Whether it is the light intensity/dimness or the speed of the fan, it is all controlled through the remote wall switch. It does not require a three wire application. There are also no pull strings to control the light/fan. The remote control requires two batteries that are enclosed in the back of the switch. The switch gets secured inside the wall which means you have to remove the switch from the wall to replace the batteries when they die. The fan blades and light cover are made of plastic which allows you to use it in damp locations. I had this installed in an area where the ceiling is vaulted. I needed to purchase a down rod (as one does not come with the fan) so the blades would clear the ceiling. I used an 18” down rod which required me to reuse the unique triangular rod socket that came with the fan, leaving me just enough wire to make the connections. If your application is flush, you will not have this issue.

The 3-blade design plus Hunter’s SureSpeed airflow cools my living room quickly without the wobble or hum I’ve had with other fans. The integrated LED gives a bright, even glow and the included wall control makes it simple to adjust the light and fan speeds (there’s even a “favorite” preset). Installation: Straightforward with clearly labeled hardware; but it was not easy or for a normal person job.. you really need to know a little about wiring in case your current system is not set up like this one. Swapping in the wall control was pretty simple. Again, always turn power off to avoid any damage. Noise level: Whisper-quiet in my space—even on higher speeds. Appearance: Minimal and stylish; the flat matte finish hides fingerprints well. Where it works: It’s damp-rated, so it can go indoors or on a covered porch. Wish list: I’d love a handheld remote in addition to the wall control and the option to choose light color temperature. Overall, strong airflow + quiet performance + clean design = a great upgrade for a large room.

I will not be installing this fan for several months. However, I opened the package to check to see if all the parts were included. The Hunter description of this fan states that the light globe is frosted glass, but it is not, it is white plastic.
