Hunting Adeline - by H. D. Carlton (Paperback)

The pages are nice and have cool intricate designs. The book contains graphic descriptions, however it also has a surplus amount of humor. A great read and well designed book! Also a good price

H.D. Carlton maintains the same writing style established in Haunting Adeline. The dark, witty humor still cuts through the brutality, adding sharp contrast to the story’s darker elements. The pacing feels like a natural continuation, with the same quick, biting dialogue and snappy comebacks delivered by both Zade and Adeline. Carlton crafts an intensely passionate narrative centered on Zade—now known as “The Hunter” (no longer “The Stalker” or “Shadow”)—and Adeline, who evolves into “The Diamond,” leaving behind the identity of “little mouse.” Hunting Adeline picks up where Haunting Adeline leaves off: Adeline is kidnapped after the car crash, while Zade is left injured in the aftermath of the bombing. The novel is divided into two parts. Part One follows Adeline’s captivity among skin traffickers and Zade’s desperate, relentless search to find her. Part Two focuses on Adeline’s transformation—she sheds her former self and becomes someone far more dangerous, someone to be feared.

Disgusting book. My first ever DNF

This book was an absolute pleasure to read from beginning to end. The author masterfully weaves together compelling characters, a well-paced plot, and emotionally rich themes that linger long after the final page. Every chapter felt purposeful, drawing me deeper into the story while keeping me fully engaged.

Just as good as Haunting Adeline. This one is tougher to get through but the character development is beautiful.

Trigger warnings galore, but writing and story is a thrill ride
