Description
We The Wild Hydro Pellets are an organic, slow-release plant food designed specifically for propagation and water-grown houseplants. Made from nutrient-rich insect frass, these gentle pellets release balanced nutrition directly into water to support fast, healthy root development without burn or risk of overdose. Simply drop pellets into jars, vases, or hydro setups to feed cuttings and established water-grown plants as they root and grow. The pH-balanced, low-odor formula keeps water clean while delivering consistent nourishment over time. Easy to refresh every few weeks, Hydro Pellets remove the guesswork from propagation and hydro care. The result is stronger roots, healthier growth, and more successful water-grown plants from the start.

Do not purchase, stinks and plant health deteriorates rapidly
This stuff stinks, its absolutely awful. I followed all the directions and then reached out to the company, "we the wild", only to receive a peppy email asking me to reduce the amount used. This product not only stinks but my plants which were doing well in plain water deteriorated rapidly.

Smells like diarrhea + wet dog 🐶
I have over 300 indoor house plants and a half acre garden. I have lots of experience with propagation aids, fertilzers, and pesticides. I have never smelled something so nasty related to gardening before. This product smells like diarrhea + wet dog 🐶. I tried to use it on a fiddle leaf fig and a rubber tree cutting that I had propagating in my bathroom. my family kept spraying air freshener like crazy and accusing each other of having an intestinal problem. Turns out it was this product stinking up our house. At this point, all I can think to do is use it in my compost pile?

Do NOT Buy This Awful Stuff!
The product is mis-labeled and not even on the manufacturer's website. The instructions on the bag say add 1 tsp per fl oz. The target photos show instructions of 1/4 tsp per fl oz. I purchased this and put 2 tsp in a 16oz glass with some cuttings. They sank to the bottom and looked awful. Day 2 it turned the water a murky brown. Day 3 it was very dark and gross. I dumped it out and will not use it again. No growth yet either, by the way, and 1 of my cuttings shriveled and died. The photos are taken day 1 (an hour after setting it up) and day 3 before dumping it out. The last photo is with better lighting so you can see the "results" better.

Horrific Smell - May need to burn my house down to get rid of the odor
I’ve been on the verge of throwing up after having to pour out three little vases with this in it. The smell is horrific, like rotting poop or maybe something worse. Rinsing and washing in dawn didn’t even remove smell from glass! I had to slosh isopropyl alcohol in them and let it sit and then slosh some more before rinsing after the wash to get the glass vases usable again and don’t get me started on the sink process after I dumped them. 0 stars and honestly I should be compensated for damages

Great if you want sewage water for your plants....
Nauseas from how disgusting this product is. Turns water into sewage water…. quite literally. Looks and smells like sewage…. I even added less than the recommended amount. Actually killed my plants. Don’t recommend at all.

terrible for how it’s marketed… turns water disgusting color, rotting after just a few days, 1/2 tsp to 1 fl oz ratio is way too much, makes no sense to use for water prop because it looks awful like contaminated water… not sure how this product got past testing.. guess i can use it as fert for outside plants but no way im keeping this in jars inside

worked perfectly if used in a smaller quantity
the trick with this one is using just a pinch for every 8 oz of water instead of the recommended amount it says on the package. use much less. it works, my plants are growing beautifully. if you use the recommended dosage in the intructions, your water will get really dirty really quick. just use a smaller amount.

Horrible Smell
I tried using a few pellets on my props but once it turned the water brown it smelt like raw sewage. I am not joking either. At first I thought it was because my props were decaying but it was the water. I only use distilled water with my props so it had nothing to do with a reaction or something. I wish this product was more of a prop drop format that DID NOT smell.

Killed my Propagations
This product is terrible! For years I’ve grown plants in water as temporary propagations to be planted in soil as well as plants to continue growing hydroponically. The tiniest amount of this stuff killed off any plant I added it to. I’ll be returning it!

Just no.
I have no idea how this product got past testing. These are bug poop pellets. They dissolve quickly, and if kept warm quickly turn into fermented bug poop stew. It smells as delectable as you'd imagine.

Worst Product
0 stars. I have liked all the We the Wild products until now. I bought this to help propagate some slow growing pathos. As other reviews mention, the odor the fertilizer causes is noxious. Additionally, half the leaves that had formed prior to the addition of the fertilizer died within a week of use. So not only does it smell bad, it almost killed the plants.

I love propagating and have been looking for something to help my cuttings grow faster. They do turn the water a brown but it doesn't bother me as the root growth is so good
