I'm not ill, aged, or weak: I'm helping a loved one. I couldn't figure out the packaging and had to resort to cutting it out with a pair of scissors. How do you expect a patient to use your product by presenting such a challenge? Please don't respond with the 1999 FDA requirements. The FDA requirements don't call for packaging this difficult. Really, I'm seeing this same complaint from almost every review, and the reviews aren't recent. Patients don't care that you will have a profit setback due to changing the packaging. And, we all know that patients will buy the product regardless of packaging BECAUSE THEY NEED THE MEDICATION = shame on you.

Although it works, the packaging would make one think you were trying to infiltrate a nuclear site. An ordinary adult cannot get into the packaging without tools. Ridiculous.

I have used Imodium for several years and find it works well. However, the packaging is impossible to open! I may have to try a different product. Unless you have a pair of scissors or pocket knife on you, you'll be unable to open the package.

I use two 2 mg Immodeum tablets a day, and have been for decades. I open a box of 12 pakets each with 6 tablets ) - 84 in all - in 5 minutes and store them in a container. How ? Puncture only one edge of the tinfoil backing of each pill using your thumbnail. Then push each blister bulge from the front. Out pops each pill. Quick and easy - but annoying.

I understand the reason for the current packaging but would be happy to complain to the FDA if you can provide a contact address.

The packaging is so bad that I wouldn't know if the medicine worked. I do martial arts and have the grip strength of a vice, I cannot open these without a blade.

Good product, but you need a good half hour to open the pill packaging! My pills end up broken. I understand the safety aspect, but worst design ever. It brings down the whole experience. I’m a senior and I’m quite sure you have many, many older customers that are ticked off on the packaging. Thanks, Don

Why do you keep making them harder to open?? I have to use a scissors and still have trouble. They used to come with the corner to pull apart, which was pretty easy. Now they darned near impossible.

The product does exactly what I need, but I'll agree with everyone that the packaging is difficult. Understand the new rules from the government limit it to 24 per pack, but I'd love small bottles with 24 for use when traveling since I can't take scissors on a plane.
Finally easy to open!

Please accept our sincere apology for the inconvenience and frustration you have experienced with the packaging of the IMODIUM® caplets. In Sept 2019, the FDA announced a decision to limit loperamide containing medicines, including IMODIUM®, to 48 milligrams or a 24-count pack size. This was to help address the misuse and abuse of loperamide while preserving access to an essential, over-the-counter remedy for diarrhea sufferers. In addition, the FDA has also required that the caplets be packaged in individual doses. Our team understands your concerns and would be happy to chat more. Please give us a call at 1-800-962-5357. We are available M-F, from 9am-5:30pm ET. Thanks!

Don't always use at onset of diarrhea. Because sometimes by the time I get it out of pack don't need it anymore. If I DO end up taking it usually works.

I cannot believe how hard it is to get the pills out of the package. My mom had radiation and it has caused her serious diarrhea. She is not able to open these packages. I have no hand issues and still have to cut the pills out. I know the main ingredient, so for my mom, I am moving to a product in a bottle.
