I bought this pot because of the extremely low price, but you definitely get what you paid for. I used it twice before a small hole was formed in the side of the pot. I cooked and cleaned the pot a few more times and now there are so many tiny holes all over the pot making it unable to use. I would definitely encourage you to pay a little more for a pot that lasts you more than a handful of uses.
I knew when I purchased this pan it would not be a heavy weight, use it to death. item. I expected it to be light weight, after all, it's aluminum and cheap. I now know this pot is so light it may not last a year. The first pan I received was badly dented, both pot and lid. Target sent me a replacement and that had a small dent in the bottom of the side also. I think the structure of the pot is so light any jostling that occurs in shipping is damaging the pan. Get this pot if you need a large pot for camping ( the lid is glass and steel so you would have to leave that home). Don't purchase it if you want a pot that will last. Remember aluminum stains, and this pot stained with first use.
I purchased this pot for my sister in law as a gift. I ordered it off the target website and had it shipped to her in Germany where she and her husband are living on military base. Not even 6 months after purchase she told me that the pot fell apart and when boiling water that water leaks out through tiny holes in the sides of the pot and had to be thrown out. Lightweight is one thing, but I think that is just ridiculous.
I was looking for a light weight pot after checking the prices of popcorn poppers. I purchased this pot in the store and found it was just what I was looking for. The glass top with the vent hole is invaluable and I am able to pop perfect popcorn everytime. Hoping it will last for a long time.
The pot is very thin and light-weight thus easy to handle. Water heats up quickly. But it's so thin that it came already with a small dent out of the shipping box. I'm afraid that more will quickly accumulate even with daily use. The glass cover is a plus because I can see in without removing the lid. The little hole in the cover is also great in preventing pasta water from foaming over. Unfortunately the knob was not attached tightly. No matter how I tried to tighten the screw, it still rotates and wobbles. As a result, steam accumulates in space between knob base and the lid. It doesn't impact negatively too much on the handling of the lid, however.
