When you are boiling water -- like for pasta -- the handles get far too hot. So, this makes it hard to work with tha pan if you cook the pasta, then make a sauce to put the cooked pasta back in. T-Fal is an excellent brand, as I and my family have used T-Fal for decades, but my Macy's Stainless Steel, Tools of the Trade set was a much better value and the handles didn't get hot. I don't know if T-Fal will ever address this. However, I am a professional Cook and Kitchen Manager, and it is my opinion that T-Fal should not be manufacturing stock pans, typically used for hot stocks, soups and boiling water for pastas where the handles stay that hot. The temp of the handles stays extraordinarily hot well after you pull the pan off a hot burner.

I bought this pot to replace one I had for years and used until the handle broke. Shortly after purchase, I noticed spots on the bottom of the pot that looked like rust to me. I thought I must have left water in the bottom of the pot when we went on vacation so I repurchased to replace. Within two weeks, the same thing happened despite my extra attention to care for this pot. This pot is now in the trash where it belongs. For me, this purchase was a waste of time and money.

Don’t waste your money. I bought this 2.5 weeks ago exclusively to make tea (black tea, artichoke tea). I’ve used this pot almost daily and only hand wash it with a no scratch sponge. It’s now discolored and rusting after only 2.5 weeks. I’d rather spend more money on a quality item. The only positives were the size and the pour spouts.

We needed a stock pot in a hurry while feeling under the weather to make some soup and this did the trick! I'm super pleased with the quality for the money. I've been trying to switch my kitchen cooking pots and pans over to stainless steel, so this will be a permanent item now. Only time will tell how it holds up over the long haul. It's dishwasher safe and it didn't go funky in color after washing.

I love this pot so much! I have three of them and buy them for others! It cooks well, it cleans up well in the dishwasher, it doesn’t have plastic parts that break down or hollow parts that hold water. It’s the perfect size. I use mine constantly.

This pot is 8" only at the bottom and 9" at the top. Your lid or steam basket has to be 8.5". Anything with a diameter measurement at 8" stocked at the top of this pot will definitely not work. The pot without lid weighs only 1304g or 2 lb and 14 oz. It weighs 4 lb 2 oz with a lid.

I love the fact it is stainless steel, tried to cook foods in it couple times the bottom of pot did not get burned, easy to clean, not rusty. The quality seems to last for a long time. Great addition to my kitchen.

Stainless steel! I prefer this over aluminum because it stays shiny and it is supposedly healthier. This pot has not one but two sides where you can easily pour out contents. The lid has two sides with holes where you can drain, which I really appreciate. This is a great stock/soup pot.

This is a decent pot. A Nice, larger size for batches of soups, etc. I’m on my second one now. The Item description says it’s dishwasher safe. Not sure if this if from the dishwasher use or not, but my first one rusted around the (very tiny) lip at the top of the pot. It’s Hard to notice if you don’t turn/flip the pot over to closely look at it. Nevertheless, I bought another. We’ll see if this one rusts as well.

I use this pot to make small batches of beer. I love the pour spout. My previous pot didn't have the spout and so I would spill wort (unfermented beer liquid) all over the place every time. After I got this, I never spill a drop.

I used it for the first time to boil water to make pasta and it already started to rust on the bottom of the pot. You get what you pay for. (I would upload a photo but the Target website shows a 'Sorry, your file could not be uploaded.' error.)
