Q: Does this rug have an odor?

A: I've had this rug for about 1.5 -2 months. It smelled horrible when I opened it. I aired it out for 2 weeks before putting it in my bedroom. I left it unrolled in my spare room with the windows open everyday for 2 weeks. It helped but It's been in my bedroom for a month and it still has a chemical smell! I have vacuumed it and treated it with baking soda and it still smells!

I love the look and feel of this rug. Soft, plush and the colors are even better in person. We bought it about a year ago for a room that isn't heavily used. The rug is beginning to come apart. Long strings are pulling off the sides with chunks of the rug attached. Not sure how much longer it'll be a rug at this point. Gorgeous but, but not the best quality!
