A mixed review.
The improvements are noticable and appreciated. However, the changes from a 14 to a 17 were a little difficult to resolve. The transition and transfers could be more apparent and explained.

Phone good, process not
New phone works great, but the process to do the trade-in and have the phone shipped was painfully long, involved several extended phone calls including with call center agents who could not address my issues timely or effectively. Recommend the Apple product, but not ATT's service to help you get it.

lost phone
It took over 2 weeks to get phone. The first one was "lost" in transit. Eventually had to go to a store to get this resolved. Once the phone arrive - its been great.

Best iphone yet
This is a great phone with many new features. It charges quickly and the charge lasts much longer than my old iphone 13Pro. I think it’s well worth the price.

iPhone 17 Pro user
I love the phone, but it seems to run hot a bit easily, even from just some basic things like playing music. I took an hour nap and let it play sleep sounds (not on the charger) and I woke up and had to give it like, 5 minutes to cool off. I can’t play any of my games for more than 20-30 minutes without it getting hot. Not hot enough to shut down or anything, but hot enough that it’s hot to the touch.

The iPhone 17 Pro distributes heat across the chassis due to its vapor‑chamber design, which can make warmth feel more noticeable even when internal temperatures are within safe limits. About 20–30 minutes of gaming—especially with graphics‑intensive titles—can naturally warm the device. To help reduce overheating, please try the following steps: -Remove your case temporarily to see if temperatures drop and consider using a case that allows better airflow. -Check battery usage by going to Settings → Battery → Battery Usage and look for apps with high background activity. -Update iOS, as heat‑related optimizations are often included in early software patches. If the issue happens during music playback: -Try a different music app (Apple Music vs. Spotify) to see if one is causing the issue. -Turn off Dolby Atmos, Lossless, or EQ, as these features can increase processing load. If the issue happens during gaming: -Lower graphics settings. -Avoid gaming while charging. -Close other apps before playing. Consider visiting Apple Support if you notice any of the following: -The phone gets hot even when idle. -Heat appears immediately after waking the device. -Battery drains unusually fast. -The device heats up during very light tasks (music, notes, messaging). -Apple can run an in‑store thermal diagnostic to check for hardware issues.
