Clasp broke and files keep slipping off rails. Do not buy.
There are huge empty spaces in front of and behind rails, so hanging files are constantly falling down with nothing to hold them in place. Additionally, the clasp broke almost immediately. Do not buy.

Clear version has handle components that will degrade
Not in the product description, but the handle in the clear version is not hard plastic. It's that soft TPE texture that will degrade if handled enough, particularly in the tropical climate where I live. I would not recommend the clear one and it's a shame they didnt include it in the product description, or else I would have chose the black one. The black one appears to not have the material on the handle that degrades, based on the pictures. Also these are way overpriced for what they are. I have similar Sterilite file containers from 10+ years ago that are still going strong through multiple moves with high heat and humidity climates.

Convenient and sturdy
These are so much better than the type with either the handle on the lid or those that have supply storage built into the lid. That are more sleek and convenient in design, allowing to stack or slide nicely into a nook beside each other. While it could do with some slight improvements to hinges (some are better than others and seem more of a quality control issue), these are far more sturdy than any I have tried. I highly recommend. If you’re used to the supply case the lid, I would suggest a slim pencil case slipped in with the files as this box travels far better than that type.

The box is nice but although it is called "Legal File Box" the size is letter, not legal.
