A: Technically not antibacterial. Though, the US FDA found 0 evidence of antibacterial soaps better at preventing illness than plain soap and water. Antibac soap can actually be worse long term.

Q: Does this Ivory have ANY kind of fragrance? Long ago, it came that way, but it's harder and harder to find any unscented or fragrance-free beauty products.

A: Our Ivory Gentle Bar Soap Original has the original scent. In the beauty care industry, we use two specific terms to help consumers find the right products to use, unscented and fragrance-free. Unscented products may contain a light scent to mask the natural odor of the ingredients in the formula. These ingredients do not have a pleasant smell, which is why it's necessary to add a very small amount of light fragrance to make the product more enjoyable to use. Fragrance-free products do not contain any added fragrance.

Q: The ten bar package I have at home shows 4X MORE/PLUS in the upper left. But in the store I saw a pack of fewer bars with 2.5X and another, I think with 3 or 3.5 X. Explain this on the package!

A: For our Ivory Original Bar Soap 10pk we offer 3.17 ox bars and 4.0 oz bars. The package that states 4X MORE are our 4.0 oz bars.

After using the Ivory Gentle soap, my skin feels clean, but not stripped. The bar is the perfect size for smaller hands and the shape is perfect for rolling in your hands to get that amazing lather.

Works but not for me
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I feel bad because I really want to like this product since the manufacturer is super generous and gave me a lot to try. However, I'm not a super big fan. While I prefer the individual boxes soaps from competitive brands, the plastic wraps for each soap is fine too. The smell though... I'm not a big fan of. It's also a bit drying and my skin felt right after using it in the shower. I guess it's just not right for my oily skin type, so I can't really recommend it.

The scent is a nice clean smell and not overpowering. I liked this one a lot and will definitely buy it in the future.

I like how well it suds up on my washcloth, leaving my skin feeling smooth and not dry. Dermatologist tested.
