Jackson Media Storage Rack Espresso - Prepac: Holds 1173 CDs, 567 DVDs, 27 Adjustable Shelves

ordered this shelf set up for our dvds when it arrived got started to put it together comes in two boxes the main box has the frame work started putting it together the unit is really flimsy standing it up to turn over to put the back on it which is held on by little nails with out the back cardboard sorta wood it would stand on its own standing it up in place you have to use this plastic zip tie piece that attaches it to the wall if you don't do it it is very top heavy and wants to fall over with out any thing on it in the kit they give you these plastic glides that have nails made in to them that are to be hammered in to the base Eight total which four broke up trying to nail in like the instructions tell you the shelves come in the second box at first I thought I got the wrong ones cause one they are way narrower than the depth of the frame so you end up with a big gap at the back of the frame and they set way back in the frame they do not come flush with the frame for what they charge for this the quality should be better than what you get after getting this it confirms why shopping on line sucks if it was in the store would have NOT purchased it now stuck with it my recommendation do not buy it!!!

Very sturdy and feels like a nice quality. Held all the video games we hoped it would. Buying a second one right now.

While the shelves are tough (and heavy) particle board, the rest is more of a pressed fiberboard with a printed paper-like covering. This makes many of the pieces (including the base) extremely fragile. One bump to a corner and it looks bashed up. Like another review stated, the back panels are super thin. I found them challenge to put side by side and nail each to the vertical support pieces (also fragile fiberboard) without hitting nails through the back and poking out the side, which causes splintering and more ugliness. You also need a very large open space on a floor to assemble this correctly. Almost (if not completely) impossible to assemble upright. On top of all this, the "trim" pieces that go on the front of the vertical supports make it so a cd or dvd can "hide" behind it; this makes the shelf less functional.

Over priced and the instructions aren't the greatest. The back piece is laughable particle board.

I like this unit but its a bit over priced for particle board and the instructions could be better, also I got two of these and they both had minor damage to them, I couldn't be bothered to try and return it to the store and get another. This arrives in two boxes so if (like me) you only get one box, wait until the next day because thats when the second one arrived, the shelves come in the smaller box and boy are those boxes heavy. Now the plus side, its perfect for cd.s, dvd's and blue rays, they have absolutely loads of holes for the little lugs to go in for the shelves so you can arrange them for any height and as they have lots of settings you don't have to set it for one size then waste lots of room before the next. Its a beautiful unit and the color is great. For a big movie and old tv series fan its perfect for my collections Conclusion, works perfect for CD's, DVD's and Bluray's, wonderful shelving design but a bit over priced.
