Q: Would this size be too large for an elementary age student (6-12)?
A: Thanks for reaching out to JanSport regarding pack size, choosing a backpack is is definitely a personal decision and we would reccomend the following steps. 1. Determine what will be carried in the backpack as this will help you choose a size. Be mindful that the more you carry the heavier the pack. 2. Figure out if you like one large dump compartment or if you like multiple compartments to help organize yourself. 3. If possible try a backpack on and maybe even load some weight in it to see how it feels. Every person has a little different back length and size to there is not a one size fits all. Most packs will feel okay but you will usually find one that feels better than another. 4. Choose your favorite color once you decide on which backpack you want. JanSport packs are designed to fit most 12-24 year olds so trying to fit some younger may be a challenge just from the size of the straps and the pack. Choosing a backpack is a personal decision and following these steps will hopefully make things easier. Thanks for contacting JanSport.

Q: How many pounds is the backpack
A: I would say around a pound. It is light weight for a large backpac. The bulk of the weight is in the padding of the laptop compartment and the thick straps. They invested the weight wisely.

Q: Does these backpacks comes with an automatic warranty being that they are very expensive? If not how do we purchase one?and what are the requirements?
A: If you overload the backpack with heavy books, laptop, & accessories the seams will go overtime, so pack wisely, especially for your back. You don't need a whole stationary store in your backpack.
submitted byTigriss - 2 months agoA: JanSport backpacks come with a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturer defects. There is not reason to purchase an additional warranty beyond what JanSport already offers. Q: Could this backpack fit a 32 oz wide mouth Hydroflask in the water bottle pocket?
A: Is it capable yes, will th3 bottle stay inside the water bottle holder, NO! my child's40 Oz cup with open handle, always manages to come out and drop on the floor. I wouldn't recommend it, but rather a 24 Oz slender vertical bottle.
submitted bymom of 1 - 3 months agoA: The JanSport Big Student should fit most of the large water bottles on the market. We specifically design our water bottle pockets to fit these large bottles, some of the water bottle companies do change sizes from time to time so it is always best to bring to make sure when making a purchase. Thanks for contacting JanSport.
