I was given this speaker a couple of years ago and i love it. i use it everyday, take it with me most places. it is water resistant (in the sense of being in a very steamy room and being touched with water every once in a while), and i have never had any issues with it. the charge is super long, the audio is really good, and the app makes the color and everything just kinda great. 10/10 recommend for a dark shower and the lights of the speaker lighting up the room too

I only had this speaker for about two months before it completely wouldn’t connect to my phone anymore. I’ve tried everything; the factory reset, completely charging it, forgetting the device on my phone and tying to re-pair it, even restarting my phone as well. It won’t pair at all and every time I go to my bluetooth devices and try to select, it immediately says “out of range” or “pairing took too long”, even though my phone is right next to it. My speaker is just constantly stuck in pairing mode, but won’t actually connect to anything. It’s super disappointing because the quality of the sound is really good, but it’s not worth that price if it’s just going to stop working in a couple months.

I recently bought the Pulse 4, and while I do like the outward look/appearance of the speaker i feel like something is missing, and think its missing in the JBL app. Seems to me the features are somewhat limited on it. When buying a speaker with lights and a price like these I want to be able to have significantly more control of lighting options. I believe the app gives only 4-5 options, that's not to say that the app isn't good, because it is good. Ability to operate and learn the app is quick and simple. It just needs more in the form of lightening control. As for the speaker itself it's not bad, it seems to put out a decent sound, you can certainly feel it's quality as soon as you pick it up.....it's extremely solid. Don't drop it on your foot or you be seeing your other doc.

I love JBL! This is my third, and largest JBL speaker. The light show is SO fun and as expected it sounds great. It is a lil heavier than I expected but not a big deal since it sits on a counter anyway.

Such an amazing speaker the sound quality is great and the look is fireeeee! Such a conversation starter! I love that I can pair it with other JBL speakers, so much that I purchased two & I must say it’s fire asf I have one in my living room then one in my room. I can hear the music throughout the house ! So lit !

I’m not sure if they will ever read and learn from reviews, but the speaker is perfect and very pretty, but the app is horrid, clunky, slow just letting you know in advance Only 1 person can change the color at a time (the music host)

I've had this speaker for nearly a year and I'm absolutely in love with it. Sound is incredible for the size and it has great bass (sometimes too great - have to set it on something soft so it doesn't vibrate the whole table). I bought it for the light show and use it all the time for the lights even when I'm not using the speaker. It gets toted around the house with me like a portable electronic lava lamp. It is a bit heavy and isn't as portable as some of JBL's other speakers, but that's the only downside. This product is one of my favorite purchases, and I plan on getting another one at some point.

The JBL Pulse “Partyboost” function is a complete joke. It often disconnects and transmits a high pitch feedback sound. It is way over priced for a small speaker with lights.

Thank you for your feedback. Here are some things to try that often fix the Partyboost issue. Always have a clear line of sight between your Bluetooth speakers and source device (Smartphone/tablet/PC, etc). Be aware of obstacles in front of your devices. Try to shut down products that have Bluetooth, but are not being used. If these steps do not fix the problem, perform a reset on the headphones following the instructions found in this link. https://bit.ly/3tXzc9t

Thanks for reaching out. Here are some things to try that often fix audio issues. Make sure Headset/Speaker are sufficiently charged. Restart devices and Unpair them to refresh the connection. Try using a different music app (iTunes, YouTube, Spotify, etc.). If using an equalizer, please set it to default mode or turn it off. Try using a different Source Device (Laptop/PC/Tablet/Smartphone). Check if there are any physical damage/s to the speaker unit. Make sure the device is not near any cause of interference such as other wireless/BT devices. Perform a reset.
